The song is very nice, beautifully composed. My favourite line being; "Keep your naked flesh under your favourite dress." I feel this shows he sees her as more than something sexual, he noticed what shes wears and who she actually is. He still has tender feelings for her but their emotional embrace is poor, and compensated with quantity not quality. "They are built to hold and fit; look how far they go round." |

It's an amazing song, but I've always heard the 'Out here noone can hear me' line as, "I'm here, lurking in me." I saw it as the story of a introverted and lonely individual who finds a girlfriend/boyfriend, but he/she still longs to be alone. |

The musc video does have alot to do the lyrics. Predator tries to be a normal teen = driving lessons. tries to fit in = hair cut tries to dissappear= bus tries to get help = inner monster but hes not normal, he doesnt wear a mask. hes a creature from another world and more powerful than anything in his town. He tries not to be himself, but as the end of the video shows. He cant hide what he is. Why should he hide what he is? I'd rather live, than live forever! |

I think the song is about the chav culture in Britain. The way I interupt it, the song has references to drugs, violence, rap/mc, gang territory. Also, I think it is trying to highlight that, although stereotypically, 'emo's' and 'goths' are the depressed subculture, 'chavs' can be just as unhappy, perhaps more so. |
