Alice in Chains – Suffragette City (David Bowie cover) Lyrics 18 years ago
Yeah Negrum, Laynes dead so if he covers a britney spears song it'll be damn scary-nothing else.

Motörhead – God Was Never On Your Side Lyrics 18 years ago
see thats the thing about Lemmy he seems to believe in god but he's always critical.
However he is especially critical(and always has been) of organised religion as his father was a catholic priest who abandoned his mother for religious reasons and Lemmy will never forgive religion for all that it's done to separate people.

Motörhead – Bad Religion Lyrics 18 years ago
This song speaks for itself.
It is clearly Lemmy attacking ALL religions because he believes that they use their power over their followers to manipulate them and if there is a true god he certainly wouldn't believe the mass-worshipped religious crap.

Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics 18 years ago
Plant certainly was influenced by Tolkien and there could be some references in this song but i dont think this is what the songs about.Page was certainly a satanist who was influenced by Aleister Crowley and if the whole backwards satanist messages were intentional then good on him because I certainly couldn't write lyrics on the basis on how they'd sound backwards. But when all is taken into consideration I think this song is just a stoned version of their opinions and feelings:
The 'Lady' being a symbol for the naiveness of the rich.
'There's a feeling I get When I look to the West' part is about them missing California.Etc.

But in all's honesty the Solo and the last verse are just acts of sheer musical genius.

Led Zeppelin – Achilles Last Stand Lyrics 18 years ago
It is(apparently) about Plant's car crash in Morroco mixed in with Greek mythology. The 'Last Stand' part comes from the fact he thought he was going to die, the 'Achilles' part comes from the fact that the most serious injury he got was a broken ankle(referencing Achilles from the story of Troy) and 'The Mighty Arm's Of Atlas Hold the Heavens From The Earth' part is about the fact the last thing Plant saw before his crash were the Atlas mountains(referencing Atlas the Titan and his job of holding the heavens). This song is probably Led Zeppelin's last truely epic song.

Led Zeppelin – Nobody's Fault but Mine Lyrics 18 years ago
It is clearly influenced by the lyrics of Blind Willie Johnson, but in all's fairness it's Robert plant's version of the song influenced by the death of his son Karac.
