The song is about Amys physically/emotionally abusive relationship with a previous partner-can totally empathise with her description-"And when you're at the end of your rope, when you're at the point where you realize something has to change, that you can't go on living in the situation that you're in. It's cool. It's a very strong song."
This song to me is about a 'freindship' I had with another girl when I was 12-ish. She bullied me in every way you can think of, and was just using me to vent her anger. I didn't have any other freinds, so just put up with it. She had had a rough time when she was younger so I thought she deserved a chance, and I did everything I could to help her. She kicked me out in front of cars, blackmailed and threatened me, stabbed me with pins. When I tried to dump her she'd start spreading rumours and emotionally blackmailing me. So I thought everything was my fault. This song really sums up everyting, Amy Lee is a goddess at songwriting as well as her amazing voice! |

Not sure where I read this or even if it happened after the song was written but here is- Meatloaf was staying in a hotel, where the Spice Girls were also staying. they asked him to clean their toilet and he replied "I would do anything for you but I won't do that"

Heres a comment! yeah this ones really gut wrenching. I listened to it over and over after my b/f dumped me, saying he had never thought anything other than me being pretty. Its a killer, definately, when that sort of thing happens. |
