This song's about Jake when he was younger. He said that he'd walk a girl home, give her a flower (or something like that), then write a song, but in the end none of them were ever interested in him. But he has also said when talking about the meaning of this song that he said that he doesn't know, he just made the song up. The first meaning I mentioned is more probable, since I did hear Jake was a bit of a loser back in the day (no offence). |

Actually, the song isn't about Jake. It's about some dude who worked on the album with them (I forget who exactly). I believe the guy and this chick were roomates, then they hooked-up and I guess she wanted to have a relationship after that, but he didn't want to. So yeah, he was kind of stuck in this situation because he couldn't get away because they were living together at the time. The lyrics explain it all... |
