Evans Blue – She Fell Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is truly amazing. Definitely should have been on the album as a regular.

Default – It Only Hurts Lyrics 18 years ago
"Can hold my breath only for a little while
until reality starts sinking in" -- I think this means that you can only avoid/ignore a situation for so long until you realize that this is reality, and no matter how hard you try to avoid something, you just can't and if you do, the problem only gets bigger.

"Once again I’m settling for second best" -- I think this line means He didn't try hard enough to get what he really wanted, he didn't put in enough effort to save something special that there was (or could have been) with that person, hence he's settling for the next best thing.

"turn the page and skip
to the end to where I
Swore that I would try
Since the last time I crossed that line" -- To me this is saying, he is just trying to get over what happened and skip to the part where he swore to himself that if this ever happened again, he would try harder to save the relationship instead of settling for that second best again.

"In the back of my mind I know" -- Self explanatory..

"It only hurts when your eyes are open
Lies get tossed and truth is spoken
It only hurts when that door gets opened
Dreams are lost and hearts are broken"" -- Meaning, the only way he can escape or avoid this pain of reality, is when he's sleeping. When you're sleeping you just dream and nothings actually real and dreams go away, they change, they're always different and what you feel in a dream is only temporary. When he's awake, this is where he faces the problem, a problem that won't go away it only hurts when that door to reality (waking up) gets opened where "lies get tossed and truth is spoken," meaning it's for real and peoples feelings actually matter.

"Miles away promise from a burning bed
Two worlds should never collide" -- This means to me that he knows that getting together and "colliding" with this person is bad from the start and it could only end up being a waste of time but he can't help it.

"One word would end it if you ever heard
Tear the page out that
Reminds me when I
Swore that I’d be strong now the next
time has come and gone
Well maybe I’m wrong I know" -- I think this part means one word is left to describe himself in the relationship and that word is "failure," because he swore he'd be stronger and fight for the relationship instead of giving it up. He swore he'd be stronger next time a problem (possibly like the last relationship) arose, he'd fight to save it, but that next time happened and he still did the same thing and didn't work to save it he just ran away and settled for second best, yet again. Hence the one word "failure" would end it.

"I know what your feeling
Its hard to believe in
Someone, someone, who’s not there" -- To me this is saying he knows that it's for someone to believe in him since he's never there for that person in the relationship. He's idle and it's hard to have faith in someone who doesn't try and isn't there.

"I know that you’re waiting
Cause love is worth saving
But only for So long, so long, so long" -- Instead she is being patient, she is waiting until he makes the move to save this relationship, He knows (as well as she does) that any love is worth saving (or else it wouldn't be love right?) But if you make no move to save it...it's only there for so long before the passion dies out. So in the end he wonders if it's worth saving anyways.

"I swore that I would try
Since the last time, the last time" -- Once again he swore to himself that if this ever happened again (like the last time) he would try harder to save the love and the relationship. But is he holding his word? Is he actually going to take action next time this happens? Or is he just saying it, like he did last time?
