He loves someone and didn't realise what he had until now it's gone, and is alone and suddenly afraid now that he has come to terms. He would do anything to have what they once had back and feels he cannot go on without her. He wants her to know he will always love her. You don't have to agree, and I'm not saying this IS the meaning, but this song means a lot to me, and that is what it means to me as that is exactly the situation I'm in. I did think it could suggest someone passing away, but I've never seen it that way because it reminds me so much of me and this guy. Beautiful lyrics. Beautiful song. Beautiful band. |
