This song is one of my favorites on this album. The slower side to slipknot is good, but I prefer the earlier fast paced, violent stuff. But, I really enjoyed seeing Slipknot stretch out there and show their musical talent. Overall, a very good song and a very emotional one.... |

This song to me, has always been about a vampire, trying to seduce a woman into becoming a vampire. She doesn't yet know that he's a vampire, "I'll show you my dark secret," and she finds out and is scared by him. He promises her that she'll stay beautiful forever if she becomes a vampire. He is obviously very attracted to this woman and wants her to be with him forever. In the end it sounds as if she doesn't want to become a vampire, so he starts to get angry and asks, "Do you wanna die?" referring to the eternal life of vampires. He promises her she live forever and he'll take care of her, but I think she still refuses. Now this is just a wild guess, but in the very end, it sounds as if he kills her, by saying "So help me Jesus, Jesus...." This is what I think the song means....or should I say what the song means to me. There will always be someone to say I'm wrong, but that's the great thing about interpretations....everyone is welcome to have one. Kick ass song! |

This song to me is from a man's standpoint talking to his girlfriend/lover. He made a mistake and knows that he is wrong, but there is no way to solve the problem. It seems the harder he tries, the more it feels like he will never win. The ending, "No strength to pray for the end-the-weeds turn to roses", to me sounds as if he's saying that he doesn't have the strength to end the relationship, but the weeds turning to roses, I think, may be wrong, that he is talking about there being some chance of staying with her. If the weeds are their relationship, them turning to roses could mean that there still is hope. Dunno if it's right or not, just throwing a guess out there. Oh well, if I am wrong, the song still kicks ass!! |

This song to me, is about a guy who has lied to his girlfriend (possibly cheated) and confessed everything to her. Now she doesn't want to be with him, even though he does everything for her. No matter how hard he tries, he always gets rejected. So, in the end, he finally gives up and lets her go. Then he can't stop thinking about her. This is a song that a lot of people can probably relate to. Good song, great cd. |

I think that Shinedown did a very good job at covering this song, but again, it is a cover. If Lynyrd Skynyrd wouldn't have originally did it, this would have never existed. But, I seem to like both versions equally. It is just like Bob Segar's "turn the page". Metallica did a cover of it and added a lot more guitar solos and shit like that, but it is just a cover. Anyhow, simple man is a very great song! |

Anyway, I feel this song is about a friend who gets their heart broken and feels that they'll never love again. Then, prolly their good friend, tells them that love will come knocking on their door. To me, this is one of the best love songs ever! My opinion, a guy leaves his woman, reasons unknown...maybe they split...maybe a business trip...who knows!.. anyway, he misses her and realizes that he can't live life without her. He just can't wait to get back to her, because to him, she is his paradise...I love the line, "I'll never say goodbye again, no" That really makes me feel good.... |

This song to me, sounds like it is being sung from the serial killer's point of view. When he says "I see the man around the corner waiting, does he see me?
I close my eye and wait to hear the sound of someone sreaming here" It makes me think that he sees a soon to be victim, closes his eyes and kills them. Also, it hints at this, to me, when he talks about leaving the girl this way, "your lips are so cold, I dunno what else to say" Just my opinion, but I think it sounds as if the killer is talking about his vicitms, when he says "No more tears!" But the ending has always confused me....when the guy on the radio, or loud speaker says whatever he says at the end....since i was a little kid, I've always wondered what was actually said....never the less...still a great song...
Off subject, I seen Ozzy live at Ozzfest and he kicked ass! Didn't sing this song, but he was still awesome! |

This si definitely the reactions of losing a friend to suicide. I've lost a couple good friends also. One, actually was to suicide. It just doesn't seem right when you think about it. Why would someone take their own life...I think, selfishness is a factor in that. This song shows how suicide can affect everyone that loved you and cared about you, after you are gone. Some people feel the way this song explains. After losing such a good friend, you just don't want to live anymore. But me, myself, I feel that I have to live on and carry their legacy...suicide...the worst way to die... |

I first thought that this song was just about a man who can't see his gf and tells her he won't see her tonight, but after reading some of this stuff up top and actually reading the lyrics, word for word, it's definitely a suicide letter. Still love it, just brings a lot of emotion to the table....great song...I think part 2 kinda explains a little different story....more anger... |

This song may be long, but still kickass! This song really shows a lot of emotion: sorrow, hate, vengeance and mourning. I think this song is set in the western days, 1800s, and he has lost his family to an outlaw, that murdered them in front of him. One line of the lyrics makes me think: "old-blooded, they suffered, shot down by the outlaws after you." This makes me think that the outlaws were after someone and his family got in the middle of them and were killed because of this person. But anyway, he loses his family to the hands of an outlaw and then seeks revenge upon his head. He also hints that he seeks revenge even if it costs him his life. All that matters anymore is killing this son-of-a-bitch that took his family. Then around the end, it sounds like he killed the bastard and now feels that it really didn't matter, cause it did not give him his family back. Very sad song, but also very poetic.
Off subject, I seen Avenged Sevenfold live at ozzfest and they were awesome. I knew they wouldn't play this song, due to time restrictions, but they did cover Pantera's Walk, which was bad ass! Avenged Sevenfold rocks! |

From the moment I heard this song, I loved it! It makes me feel really good about my gf. I believe that this song is about being with the love of his life and no one else. But, the sexual part can be interpreted also. "I need you to see this place, It might be the only way
That I can show you how, it feels to be inside of you." Of course, she must be a really good lover to make him feel this way! But yeah, this is one of the best songs that I've heard from Incubus. Don't get me wrong, I love Anna-Molly and Drive too, but this is what turned me onto Incubus. |

This song is my favorite song ever! I just love the melodic solos and even the rhythm. My cousin and I both learned this song and played it together. He, of course, played all of the lead parts, while I played the rhythm. We recorded it on a tape recorder and have since lost it. But, anyway, this song, to me, is, like alot of others have said, about suicide and how life can bring you down. Metallica created a masterpiece when they wrote this song. This will always be my favorite song, no matter WHAT Metallica puts out in the future. But, this song really means a lot to me. Though the song's lyrics hint suicide, this song always cheers me up. I can't say enough about this song, even though I will try. This song is best played when sitting in a dark room, just relaxing and thinking about how great life really is. Sad to hear about the stolen amp though....some ignorant motherf*ckers out there.... |

This song was written by Ronnie James Dio, in my opinion about Ozzy Osbourne. Many believe that there was bad blood between them, because of RJD replacing him in Black Sabbath. Examples of this are IN this song, "Bad blood - Everybody knows it, But everybody doesn't care." I still stick to this song meaning, just because RJD is the man, but then so is Ozzy. Such a coincidence that the two both sung in a great band...hint hint Black Sabbath... |

Well first off, Ronnie James Dio is one of the best rock vocalists ever! All you crackheads who thinks he is bad should go take another blast! Holy Diver to me is about going through life and seeing the ups and downs. The actual title, "Holy Diver": think about it....A holy diver would sink! But anyway, I think what RJD sung this song about is a man who tries to save people from religion, while battling drug use and many other difficulties in life. Dunno though really, RJD could have just been throwing out lyrics for this sole purpose: to make everyone think of their own meaning of the song. Still one of the best! RJD was awesome in Tenacious D. |
