He's desparately begging someone he respects to not be like everyone else. The person is 'in so much trouble' of losing their own persona because they're becoming part of 'crowd', and he's calling the person on it, not allowing them to 'hide under the covers' |

Given that this entire album is about how shallow and careless the 'Big City' is, this is just the first song expressing distaste and disdain for the shallow people who populate the shallow city. I agree though...I pretty much hate people too |

I don't get the 'relationship' thing at all. In fact, this song drives me crazy. I've just listened to a 45 minute album about how horrible the City is and how much they miss home, then the final track tells me "yeah, but you can never really go home again." As much as I like the song (and the rest of them), it just kills me. |
