Ooh first comment. I know the reference to 'something more neoteric' refers to the Greek and Latin poets in the Hellenistic period; based on personal themes. Changing the tegument's function - maybe that means changing what you are on the outside with something that reflects more personal. Maybe it's about hiding behind masks and 'leaning on figures and crutches' shows they think that people are doing just that, and shouldn't. This is my favourite Bloc Party song, and 'mylesiwggyloo', only someone petty would bother to comment on a band they don't like; honestly I don't care what you think if you don't like Bloc Party. Go comment your Sonic Youth. Has anyone else got the Mike Skinner remix of this song? I absolutely love it, it's so funny. And thankfully he doesn't ruin the song. |
