Yea man that Dave and Lars idea is wack. however i agree with ArrowZepplin in that i think it about Daves recent conversion to Christianity. I think that God is narrating the song. The chorus for instance: When you feel that somethings wrong I'll shelter you and keep you warm. I think that this is about his mjk mother. but because jambi being the name of a place and a genie he's tied in the themes of wishes and sultans etc. i strongly agree with the people who have said that even though he is (or was if you like) an aithiest, he still had to 'Prayed like a martyr from dusk to dawn' that his mother goes to heaven even though he doesn't necisarilly believe it excists, because thats all he could do. It sounds like at the end that he's saying 'pray in union' rather than 'breathe in union' thats my opinion, i maybe wrong, but im open for discussion but thats only the lyrcs this song fuckin rules man, amazing musicianship on all acounts. |

The whole point of music is about how it makes you feel and how you as a person interprate the song and lyrics. ive seen several differnt views on this song and as far as im concerd they are all valid. except i find it hard to believe the song is about a movie four guys who go on a canoe and camping trip where one of them gets rapped by a bunch of redneck hillbillies, another drowns and another kills two people. although the one who does drown, drowns himself, suposssedly. its uncleary but he clutchs his head and falls into the river. one claims he was shot but where never really sure. I'm going with the virgin child story and how she is drowned. Maybe its about what Joeseph feels like doing when finds out that Mary was pregnat with Jesus? 'cos that what i'd feel like doing to woman if i found that my woman, who id never had sex with was pregnant. |
