Sonata Arctica – Juliet Lyrics | 14 years ago |
i have to agree completly with this being the "true" end to the caleb saga. the others told the story and this is the final period of his life. (lol, period pun) if it's not, then it's romeo & Juliett if juleitt was a coninving little whore OR romeo was a dissilusionned stalker. either way great song. Check out the orchestral version if your able. |
Sonata Arctica – No Dream Can Heal A Broken Heart Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Amazing song, one of my favorites from the cd. I hear a sort of orintal sound in the beginning. and after listening to it, i have a sort of theory: theres a guy whoes in love with a girl in his past. she rejected him long ago. flash to the present. he found her again, but shes now a callgirl. he indulges his broken dream, but it won't heal his heart now. the poisin kiss(es) might refer to some sort of disease she now has. the love will kill him/her or something. I'm in love with Johanna Kurkela's (the female) voice in this song. i get shivers when i hear her (just wish it went longer!). great song. |
Sonic Syndicate – All About Us Lyrics | 14 years ago |
never heard a rock (maybe bordering on metal) version of a pop song that was any good... till now. definitly a good mix here, i think i like it more then the original (that was made by t.a.T.u.) |
Sonata Arctica – Flag in the Ground Lyrics | 14 years ago |
This song really reminds me of "the Cage". Probably cause both songs speak of freedom and it's great value. Can't wait for The days of Grays. to come out |
Uriah Heep – Lady in Black Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Anyway, it's a timeless classic, will reamain a part in my library until i die. the cover's by gregorian and ensiferum are pretty good |
Uriah Heep – Lady in Black Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I follow your opinion near exactly Ratzusca. about the only difference i get is that the guy isn't fighting a pointless war, but trying to fight to stop the fighting (does that make any sense?) He's fighting the "need in men to kill their brothers" anyway, the guy is beginning to lose/or has lost hope of ever winning, until this lady comes and inspires him to keep up the struggle. though it's impossible to end, it is the struggle that makes it worthwhile. |
Disturbed – Land of Confusion (Genesis cover) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
In Flames has a good chrous IMO, but Disturbed has a better cover overall. with genesis, the song is good, In Flames iss ok, Disturbed freaking awesome! |
Rick Astley – Never Gonna Give You Up Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Kipsy-Koopa: Rick-rolling is a prank many people pull, often on forums or places where you put links to other sites. Often the link is disguised as a relevant link to whatever the page was about, but when clicked it sends you to the youtube page with this songs music video or another site with this song playing. It's quite fun actually |
Scorpions – Send Me An Angel Lyrics | 15 years ago |
The song could be interpreted as growing up or facing challenges... I personally think the singer is asking for help. the land of the morning star would be hell (wouldn't it?), and the singer is asking god for help getting him out of hell (which could be to the singer a bad situation, i.e. a rock and a hard place not hell itself) the singer is asking for help, but the wise man (possibly god talking back) tells him to believe in himself to get through the struggle |
Nickelback – Savin' Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
my opinion is it's a guy questioning if his life is worth saving; he's asking this person (god, girl/friend) to justify trying life. he needs their thoughts because he's lost himself and he's asking for their help great song, one of my favorites from Nickelback |
Within Temptation – Hand Of Sorrow Lyrics | 16 years ago |
what i was trying to describe was a "Eulogy" (couldn't remeber the word) |
Within Temptation – Hand Of Sorrow Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I have to agree with alot of the scenarios that have been said (star wars, bleach, etc) but what i love about this song how there is a huge question (to me): is a grand destiny worth the sacrifice to get to it? I also think the song sounds like a perfect example of what a "Speaker for the Dead" (Orson Scott Card 'Ender's game' series) would say... speak of a persons life, to show the sort of choices they would've had to make. just reminds me of that idea |
All That Remains – We Stand Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is awesome i like all the songs by A.T.R., but i prefer the songs with clean vocals in them, like this song or "Not Alone". hwat other songs have that clean chorus? |
Ensiferum – Victory Song Lyrics | 16 years ago |
beautiful song in all accounts, Espeacially the bagpipes at the end i wonder what that 3rd verse means (i'm pretty sure it's in Finnish) great song, truly an example of folk /viking metal |
Sonata Arctica – The Vice Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I have to say SonataArctica (the poster here at the top) has the best interpretation i can think of. my thoughts about the end are: Number 9 drinks poison that the father figure gives. He knew the drink was poison, so he acted like he died or something. #9 survived. he starts a "new" life, instead of stealing lives, he becomes a theif/pickpocket. Does that make any sort of sense? |
All That Remains – Not Alone Lyrics | 16 years ago |
OK... I come to this site to hear other peoples interpretations and opinions of the SONGS. I really don't care what people think about the bands or whose better or worse then them. If I like the band, I listen to them; if I don't, I don't. anyway, i think the song is about finding the thing that makes you feel whole in this world, wither that be a person or religion or anything else that gives you that feeling... If it makes you feel complete and not alone, it's a good thing. |
Sonata Arctica – The Ruins of My Life Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I may be making connections that don't exist, but i think this song could be connected to the song "Broken" this is the "life" that broke his heart in that song just fits to me |
Sonata Arctica – Dream Thieves Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I actually think it could be both points of views. A person who the singer fell in love with, taking things that don't belong to them. |
Killswitch Engage – Holy Diver (Dio cover) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
i have to say, im really likeing the KSE cover over the original. thats just my humble little opinion |
Dethklok – Birthday Dethday (Dethalbum Version) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"Heres your present, a box of Fucking Nothing!" that is so Brutal. genius in this song |
Nightwish – Meadows of Heaven Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think the "Memories of Childhood" pretty much sums up this song. I think, personally, this is the best song on the CD, followed by "Bye, Bye Beautiful" |
Nightwish – The Islander Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Whoops, Sorry... mixed up the bands members names for a second... |
Nightwish – The Islander Lyrics | 16 years ago |
To the best of my knowledge, Marco wrote all of the parts in this song. it's a pretty straight foreward song in terms of "messege" I LOVE the instruments/music!!!! |
Nightwish – The Poet And The Pendulum Lyrics | 16 years ago |
just bought the CD... Falling completely in love with this song and the others... |
Robert Lewis Stevenson – Yo Ho Ho And A Bottle Of Rum Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Advast me Harties!!! Sang this song many a time with me scurvy mates on September 19th (Talk Like A Pirate Day!) |
Nightwish – Bye Bye Beautiful Lyrics | 16 years ago |
love the rythem and the power it gives, but not the "bye, Bye Beautiful" spoken part (sounds different then what "i'm" expecting) Still a great song Tarja will be missed; but im liking Annettes' voice |
t.A.T.u. – We Shout Lyrics | 17 years ago |
my bad (i think) it's just the same music |
t.A.T.u. – We Shout Lyrics | 17 years ago |
did Tatu ever do an english version of "Nichya"? because i believe this is it... it's an okay song |
Sonata Arctica – Wildfire Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I generally agree with every comment that talks of how this person was always getting blamed for everything that went wrong (he was the towns Scapegoat). He finally had enough and blew up basically. He didnt deserve to be blamed constantly but he blames everyone in the end : "And every man gets what no man deserves" i'd also like to ask if this song is suppossed to be followed by "White Pearl, Black Ocean" because of the ocean sound at the very end. It would be a good contrast (one person is blamed by everyone in wildfire, One person blames themself in ocean) |
Nizlopi – JCB Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I cant really see how this song can make a person cry... it's message is too upbeat for that. I still think its a good song, just not one that causes tears |
Sonata Arctica – I Want Out (Helloween cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
ive heard the original and i agree with you Genes: the original sounded sort of "slow" to me... not a very good mood for something this "rebelious" |
Rammstein – Feuer und Wasser Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i Was just listening to the song and reading your guys comments when it popped into my head: Maybe the guy is like a demon or something (holy water is supposed to burn them, isnt it?) the devil or whatever it is falls in love with an angel, but is never going to be able to touch her with out burning just my 2 cents, to me it fits |
Within Temptation – Gothic Christmas Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I wanna know what Album (if this from one) its on! i cant believe they actually sang this song, its great!! |
Within Temptation – What Have You Done Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Its decided: IM GETTING THIS CD, just for this song! its awesome!! |
Within Temptation – Deep Within Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i Suppose it is a cool song, pretty deep and nice beat; however i like Sharon Adels voice and was expecting it here in the song. im just not a huge fan of the "grunge: voice sound |
Sonata Arctica – Kingdom For A Heart Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Im not completly sure, but i think there are more lines in the "For the Sake of Revenge" version. Anyway, good song, Great Band! |
Inkubus Sukkubus – Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves Lyrics | 17 years ago |
A pretty damn good Cher cover, even with the altered lyrics from her original |
Sonata Arctica – False News Travel Fast Lyrics | 17 years ago |
umm... Wolf76, did you mean "8th Commandment"? Anyway: I find your interpretation to be pretty valid. Rumor Spreadors (8th) and rumor believers (False News). I think another good point to add to that line would be Silver Tounge (those who dont understand what they hear) (maybe). Pretty good song |
Nightwish – Eva Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Tarja was an beautiful singer in her own right. Everything she sang was gorgeous, but i'd have to admit it was a little hard to understand sometimes (probably my inability to hear). she was a major factor of the band and will be missed by this one, but im willing to listen to the new music coming out. Annette is a bit clearer to understand, with a style she shines in. I do hope Annette does well with the "gods" known as Nightwish. its a change, and change is (almost) always good. hope Nightwish remains as great as before or becomes even greater! |
Sonata Arctica – The Cage Lyrics | 17 years ago |
the roots of the song could be from the norse myths of Fenir, like Munin says. the werewolf the soul of the song, i feel though, could be of a prisoner who is finally escape from a nightmare that they were innocent from. they keep running, always looking to be untamed. they find out why they were hurt, and promise to get their revenge against who (or what) ever hurt them. Just my interpretation, like it or leave |
Sonata Arctica – 8th Commandment Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song says to me that a liars words will always come back and hurt them. their lies keep them from rising, keeping them from ever resting peacefully, dooming them to hell. Great song, This is what got me hooked on Sonata in the first place... LOVE IT! |
Sonata Arctica – San Sebastian Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I belive that this song is about a man who feels he's undeserving of living in the sun (A metaphor for his loves life). He tries to break the relationship, but repeatedley fails ("I tried to look away from her, as always I just tried" and "How could I turn my back on her, the sweetest thing alive") He evetually accepts his failure and stops trying for the sun. But he still watches her, warming someone else ("Now I live my life in shades and I am married to the moon And the sun of San Sebastian is warming someone new") This line has been sounding different to me, the more i listen to it: "When she came, that perfect dame and she blew me away" the "Dame and" part mostly. i've been hearing "Damon" (prounouced similar to demon), which could give the song a meaning that the sun is evil or something, but tempataion keeps him looking at it. |
