I'd like to think that this is Spencers explanation of how he had hit absolute bottom in his life, and how he finally found something to pull him up from it. In Spencers case, it was becoming "clean" through his faith. I think that's what the song is about, that even though your are at the very lowest you could ever bem there is still a chance for you to pull out of it, whoever you are. And it really has nothing to do with christianity or any religion, it's about finding yourself and finding out who you are. |

Drugs are extremely illegal in Sweden and, as far as I know, in Norway too. Millencolin, being a swedish band, would know this. And what has that got to do with the song? There is a really good live version of this song included as a B-side on the 'Ray'-single off the latest album! This song is definately one of my favourite MC-songs. I think it's about dealing with boredom and the "not-knowing-what-to-do-with-your-life" that can hit you when you're around 21. Feels like they have a bunch of songs on that subject =) |

Sitting on a mountain of shit.. First off, they probably could've come up with better lyrics to this song if they'd only tried.. =P Pity, the music is incredible. I can agree with the soldier-explanation, but I don't really get an honest feeling from these lyrics at all. I'm not sure they really mean anything at all, actually. I think they know that the strength in this song lies in the music and the melodies, not in the lyrics. Whatever, it's a great song. =) |

Such a great song, it makes me happy =) Seeing them play this song at this years Give it a Name in London was euphoric. I think the song could be about getting out of a depression. Maybe he got antidepressants and used to rely on medicating himself with recreational drugs to cope with it. So maybe the song is about that period in his life and how he is now over it, though he still uses drugs for recreational purposes "from time to time". |

I've heard that this song is about Matt Bellamy's own fascination with pornography, and that by "plug in baby" he means the pornographic VHS-cassette inserted into the videoplayer. Personally, I think that's a better explanation for the songs meaning, than it being about his guitar. It'd be pretty lame if it was about his guitar. |
