The narrator is saying that life is very contradicting. "Bitter sweet", though a symphony, which indicates cheerfulness. He tries to make relationships work, but no luck. He is addicted to money. There is a hint that he is a schizophrenic, but a possibility that he is on drugs aswell. He knows he can change, but he is in this mould that is preventing him from doing it. Depression a possibility, because he is a different person everyday. he has never prayed but he feels that he has come to such a low point in his life that he has to speak to the only person that knows what pain really is, God. He then asks a question to the world. Have you ever been down? , knowing that he is not the only one suffering at that moment. He then changes the lyrics to : "trying to make ends meet, try to find somebody then you die" He was searching for love, he couldn't find, he went into a depression or started using drugs. He is trying to say that there was no use, you die anyway. "we've got ya sex and violence melody and then silence" - conclusion - LIFE IS ALL ABOUT SEX AND VIOLENCE. SILENCE - DEATH. you live life with its ups and downs, its bitter though sweet, in the end death awaits for you. I fucking love this song |

The song means exactly what the lyrics say, and the music video agrees with that. it's actually very sad. He is talking about his first love calling him. Not alot of people get over their first love. The girl in the next room is just a rebound, because if she meant something to him, he would't be talking to his ex on the phone. It hurts him aswell, he isn't over her either... They broke up because he cheated on her. "hard to be faithful". He regrets it, she will always be his angel. The trust is broken so they won't get back together. It hurts her very much, that's why she is crying on the phone. I'ts freakin sad.....i'm in the same position as the girl in the song. Well there are 2. I'm the one calling so late.... |

ok. The song is about a guy that got involved with a prostitute. He fell inlove with her. It was just a kiss in the beginning and ended up in something more. She isn't willing to leave her job for him though. He imagines her out doing her job, and makes sick pictures in his mind of them doing it together. He is more to her than just a one night thing aswell. the line "choking on your alibi's" indicates that she lies to him saying that she has left her job, but he knows she hasn't. But it's the price you have to pay when you get involved with a prostitute. Destiny (used as a synonymn for conscience in the song) His conscience is telling him to move on because it wasn't very bright of him to let things go so far. He then tries to convince himself that he never fell for her by saying i never.........i never........ so ya. that's what i think but it can also mean that it's all in his imagination. He imagines himself falling for a prostite and thinks what it would be like. It makes him sick.....thus the lines.......i never....i never.........Will! i never will |
