I'll go so far as to say this song speaks out against acid. "I'm forever devoured by the closed eye visual delusion" - how can that be perceived as a supportive statement? Terms like "pseudo-vision", "greedy illusion", "set fire to the neuro-highways of the mind", "tools of mind abuse", "untruth"; it's fantastic but horrifying imagery, and I honestly don't see how all that makes it a 'total acid song'. ..."a soul now re-entered unassigned". Fuck yeah I love this song. |

You have to give Down time; they grow on you. Now one of my favourite bands and the best concert I've ever been to. Granted I never saw Pantera live... I heard that they were all very drunk in the studio and pretty much improvised this song. I don't know if that's true or not, but judging by it's nature I wouldn't be at all surprised. And if that's so, I guess it doesn't have much meaning at all. And Phil kicks ass, y'all. Not everyone likes the bloke, but his voice is amazing and he's got brilliant stage presence. You can't deny that he puts on a phenominal show. |

Antipop was released in 1999 (a year before Chocolate Starfish...), therefore at least a year before Limp Bizkit wrote any music that could be claimed as being overly-accessible or written with intent to sell out. I love both FNM and Primus: Primus more from a bassists point of view, and FNM from an everything point of view :p |
