This song depresses me because it seems to be a rejection of "Closer". "The CLOSER we think we are Well, it only got us so far" "I've gone all this fucking way To wind up back at, back at the start" He seems to be saying that it was naive to believe that this woman could save him and heal him and that now they broke up and he's back at square one. |

I can't believe how many people think this song is about rape and abuse. The first words ARE "You let me". I think it's a great love song. He's thanking the girl for being the only one who understands him and putting up with his shit, and yes for good, hard fucking. |

Everything about this song reminds me of Fight Club. Everything fromt the "oxygen masks" to the "You'll never grow up to be a big- rock-star-celebrated-victim-of-your-fame" to the obvious "fight, fight, fight, fight!" A lot of this album was influenced by Chuck Palahniuk's books "Fight Club", "Survivor", and "Invisible Monsters". Even the picture of Manson without his lower jaw on the back. |
