before he got all big with his e.p. and all before the new version of this song, wasn't there another song in which he said 'doo doo we've been singing the bad song' like, i know it's in the new version of even fairy tale characters would be jealous but i would swear i've heard it in another one of his songs before his e.p. came out. thanks :] |

when i first heard this song i thought it was about rape. "Hear it, I'm screaming it You're heeding to it now Hear it, I'm screaming it You tremble at this sound" like, her rapist is going to regret hurting her and is going to be haunted by her and what he did. "You sink into my clothes This invasion makes me feel Worthless, hopeless, sick" he rapes her, taking her clothes off, invading her mentally [and physically] and in doing so makes her feel worthless, hopeless, and sick, as many rape victims do. "I'm so sick, infected with Where I live Let me live without this Empty bliss, selfishness I'm so, I'm so sick" where she lives is just a constant reminder of what happened to her. maybe she was raped and didn't tell anybody? that would explain the 'empty bliss', like a fake smile to fool everyone, and the 'selfishness', for keeping all this to herself. just a few new thoughts. :]. |

Dan is straightedge ... NOW. but before, when he was i believe a sophmore, he was getting into alcohol && pot after his father passed away from a heart attack. but then his mom sent him to a place where he could get help and he's been straightedge ever since. he sings about going away in his song 'even fairytale characters would be jealous' i really recommend it :] |

i like zwinkle's idea. but doesn't anyone find it weird that the line is 'there's a medicine for that' when the song is titled 'there's a PILL for that'? this is just my opinion, but i think dan did that purposely, because 'medicine' sounds a lot like 'madison', his girlfriends name. i think that he was going through a lot but then he fell in love and was cured, his 'medicine' being 'madison' :] or i could just be a dramatic romantic :] |
