| Tim McGraw – If You're Reading This Lyrics

I agree with qseft & slowly_fall_apart. No one is denying that this song is about soldiers, but we are just saying, that to some people, it could mean something else, something more personal to them. Isn't that the whole point of music? Every song has a personal meaning to the author (or most do anyway), but the beauty of music is that each and every listener can take that song and make it meaningful to them and what they are going through. I know many soldiers who have gone overseas, and have talked to them when they have returned about what it was like over there & how they have changed, so this song does take on the meaning of a soldier writing back home. But I also have family members who have lost their battle w/ cancer... and this song can pertain to that situation too. I mean no offense to bassisr10486, but i do not see how you can tell someone that their understanding of a song is wrong. No one is saying that you are wrong, they are just offering alternative explanations of what the song might mean to different people.
That's what makes music so special-- it can take on any meaning to any person, depending on what that person is going though at that moment. |

| Christina Aguilera – I'm OK Lyrics

You can hear her voice almost break the first time she says "I'm ok." you can tell it was emotional for her to record. this is such an amazing song & you HAVE to give her a lot of credit to be able to face that past and come up w/ this song. That takes a lot of strength and courage. This song brings me chills every time I hear it |

| Taylor Swift – Picture to Burn Lyrics

I hate how they edit the "that's fine I'll mine you're gay." Really... rappers can go on and on about "supersoaking hos" & all that, but when taylor swift says one line about telling her friends a guy who isn't worth the wasted energy is gay, it gets edited. Doesn't really make sense to me.
But I LOVE Taylor & I LOVE this song. My favorite on the ablum. And on my version it is clearly "who's really bad at lying" but whatever... not really the point. |

When this song first came out & I listened to it, I thought it was about a guy who had gone somewhere, it didn't work out, so he was going back home to his family & friends who have always loved & supported him.
But then my friend died, and they played this song at his funeral (I still cry everytime I hear it) & the song took on a completely different meaning. Going home means going back to heaven to be with God. "where your love has always been enough for me"
This is the type of song that can take on so many meanings, depending on the person listening to it and the things that person has gone through. Just another reason why this is such a great song-- it can apply to just about anyone. |

I think it's just about starting over, however you interpret it. It could be Jared's personal starting over as a singer from being so well known as an actor (I love him as both... such talent!!). But it is broad & can be applied to pretty much anyone who is going thru a transition right now. Great song. |

As everyone's said... the meaning is pretty self explanatory. Everytime I listen to the song, the "goodbye" part gives me chills. Jareds vocals are so raw & emotional during that part. I love it. |
