I just heard this song 4 the 1st time a few days ago and I love it. I see that no one has written what they think it means yet, so I will be the first. Everyone has their opinions and this messes up the mystery behind the song, just let it be, Anthony said what he wanted us to know about this song in Scar Tissue,.
Sometimes words can mean different things to people than their actual meanings. I just think this song is one big combination of what everyone thinks.
for all I know ,it could be about him, Carmen Hawk, his dad, his mom, but who knows it could be about a dog! lol we'll never truly know unless Anthony feels like explaining it further than he already has.
By the way, I LOVE this song, it's beautiful I love everything about it, and it makes it too complicated to rip apart the lyrics trying to guess their meanings, just enjoy it....and if u get lucky enough to meet sir psycho sexy ask him yourself! |

To sir syco... it sounds like Anthony is saying "the love for my BAND," That is what I thought at first, but when you read the lyrics book it says "love for my Man" if he said Band it wouldn't make sense to say "I love his mother" right after. I think the Chili's did a great job covering this song. It's my current song that's stuck in my head, so I thought I should write a comment about it. I've heard both versions, and to me I like the Chili Peppers version better (even though it's Jimmy's song) Anthony just sounds amazing, like always. And I like that it's a live concert version of it on the albums.
