this song is about death. not a relationship. not love lost. it's about death, & all of the questions & worries that come along with it. but in that, he finds a way to reassure a loved one, or loved ones, that no matter in life or death, he 'will make it' & all the while keeping the fear and confusion, he found a way to simply make death sound beautiful. |

i honestly don't pay any mind to what anyone says about this song. i think it's fantastic and totally unlike lil wayne. it tells a lot about an artist when they can do more than what everyone expects. regardless of how common the situation in the song is, it gives us an entirely different view of lil wayne. he's putting his pure infatuation and adoration out there for us to hear. & on top of it, there's pain and confusion and desperation. all things he never leads off. it's new. i'm looking forward to the album. |

these lyrics are malicious. too malicious for her. the person in this song is reckless, & very selfish. & that fact has led me to this theory; i feel as if she is singing this song, from the point of view of another. someone who seriously fucked her over, & continues to do this to others as a pattern & she recognized it. i don't know, i just feel that compared to her views on love & pain in other songs, that she'd never seriously agree with this & act on the things she's describing. i can relate, i like to write, & i got hurt by someone who is very, very unsettled. so i wrote it out, from his point of view, to try & better understand it. of course, however, artists like to portray someone else every now & then so i could be wrong. it was just a thought! |

first of all, this song is so powerful. it is packed with so much meaning. ridiculous. it starts out with innocent childish gloating, but resonates into heavier topics. but, they all go hand in hand because the artist thinks all of this constant yearning to 'have the upperhand' is childish, and overall, dangerous. like riding with no handlebars, was it ever really a safe idea? anyway, the tone in his voice reminds me of two children bickering back and forth. "i can do this", "well i can do this better", and that very well is how our global leaders act. i don't think they're just talking about one in particular. this song is bringing to light our pathetic power struggles, and the lengths our government & other countries will go to just to prove themselves. we're basically scared into trusting someone (our government leader) who trusts no one (other countries). so naturally, no one will ever have the upperhand. it's a constant battle & a constant threat from nation to nation. just what i think they meant. :] |

the part- "she was (in Reba Jean her) big breasts" should be "she was inbread but jean had big breasts" and i agree, this song, no matter how pointless and raunchy, it's catchy and fun. and i listen to it all the time. |
