| My Latest Novel – Pretty In A Panic Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I think it's "beaten, broken" but that's a bit of a nitpick as it means the same thing anyway. Also I always thought it was "Fought him, the master wants my name", but "asked her what's" also seems to fit on relistening so I dunno. And the last bit of the second verse is "Sing, and play / Hop and skip around my bones", although in verse four it's hop and skip around something else I can't really make out. There's an "f" sound in there somewhere and that's about all I can decipher. Fur? And here's what I can make out of the spoken-wordy-poetry bit at the end: "A sunflower jar full of idle dreams he had The land of tears was so mysterious to her she said His lonely head inhabits all the love he has [???] she collects the sound of butterflies Melting snow beside a river only he will know That whisper of cold air through the face of [???] Through mythical measures they come together and understand That the place for them is kicking leaves in the [???] Now the seashell artist creates another masterpiece Reflecting jealous danger love can't see A trinket box which holds the key To the seashell artist, we thank thee." |

| Godspeed You! Black Emperor – Hung Over As the Queen in Maida Vale Lyrics | 18 years ago |

A (legal, by the looks of things) version of "Hung Over As The Queen In Maida Vale" can be found on archive.org under the name of "Godspeed You Black Emperor! Live at Bbc Studios on 1999-01-19". Also, just to clear things up here: "Monheim" (the first movement) and "Chart #3" (the second movement) can be found on Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven - Monheim on "Sleep", the third track, and Chart #3 on "Static", the second. The third part, "Steve Reich", isn't on any of their albums. The lyrics above are entirely from "Chart #3", as the other two movements are instrumentals. |
