hmmmm not realy sure but im thinking maybe like someone was in something (not sure what, maybe a certain group or something like that?) but then it changed or they felt they were out of place so they in a manner, left ti or "ran away" and then realized where they went they were out of place and where they had started was where they belonged. but then again some lines just don't make sense to me... like the "paranoid about a fuck-me dress" and the "slimy, sticky leaves cling like leaches" and also the title is misleading too but other than that thats what it really seems like to me. |

its sounds a lot to me like he's abusing someone. for example the "gone are the days of sunshine, i promise" meaning that its going to be like this for awhile, same sa "shake loose that single gleam of hope let in your chest". and then the "trophies of black, blue, and red." would be depicting the bruises and blood as 'trophies' to the person abusing. and pretty much every other line points to it from my view too, along with the title in a way. so the way i see it, hes abusing his wife, girlfriend, etc.? thats how i see it anyhow. |

its just rerecorded, xcalifornicationx, the song first came out on the "an inch of gold for an inch of time"EP, then it was rerecorded for the "put on your rosey red glasses" album. they also did the same with the song like a cat. they didn't like the originals and redid it to make it sound better. personally, i like the rerecorded jesus and tori, btu the original like a cat, and i think most would agree. theres not enoguh, well idk, sound i guess you could say for the rerecorded like a cat, and the original jesus and tori is just all messed up... it sounds loppy with the way speeds are all wrong and just not much is right with it... at least in my opinion. And je suis barbant is right about the Albert Fish idea. |
