| The Strokes – Ize of the World Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
in the album booklet the page with the lyrics to Ize of the world shows a head with weird kind of goggles on em, I think that is the "computerized" (lol) and processed (some what hypnotized) way in which we perceive the world.. and yes it is about eyes, eyes seeing how all these things get "Ized" and we just go along with it coz it's how the modern age rolls.. anyone agree or am I stroking you against your hair? (lol that's a dutch pronounciation haha<3) Cheers! ps: pm me if you have any "inside info" about this song, including a source =] |

| Bring Me the Horizon – Chelsea Smile Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Yup I agree with the lot of you, and even tho the genre is death-metal, I think it's almost christian rock reading the lyrics (yeah I really had to read coz guess what?.. I don't understand that Oly dude for sh*t except for "repent" and "i've got a secret...blablabla... I'm gonna keep it") And I do think the song Ãs telling us people to believe (in G-d), not especially the way you get told by the church but just in the energy that creates life and is the bond keeping everything together. last but not least this song sounds like a warning, repent your self, the fact is we all die eventualy yet might there be a heaven and hell, you gotta deserve you place in your destination, and the easiest place to go is most probably the one you dont wanne go to, lol'd.. I wonder what he means by the end is nigh? I'v been hearing that for somewhat years now ;) |

| Disco Ensemble – Sleep on the Wheel Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I interpret this as an amazing song of believe but I think It's easier to tell the interpretation backwards as it seems to make more sense like that: Sleeping on the wheel equals people living on automatic-pilot, not really living at all, just going about their daily lives, work, eat, sleep, repeat. "But your love kept me awake" means not going on automatic, really living through every moment and staying awake thus aware thanks to Love, "but your love kept me sane" stands for that the love (for Live itself) kept me on the right path, being pure enough not to take the easier ways out, like creeping back into a comfort-zone but facing everything thats needs to be faced. The sentences in between really speak for themselfs, if you sleep on the wheel you blow it all. "Roll the windows down, get the smoke out of our clothes" Open your mind(,body and soul ), let the air in and let the smoke out of our clothes, the smoke of the automatic-pilot's engine running on overtime, if you get what I'm saying ;) "The fog has gathered over the road, just like a ghost" this is the sentence which I'll leave open for your own interpretation since I can barely put it to words, I do think this sort of relates to a G-d-like ghost. "There's a saying, dead or alive. I heard them saying 'dead or alive'" Dead is when you're sleeping on the wheel and let live pass you by, Alive is when you hold on to Love and let it help you stay Pure and Awake, thus Sane. "Just one more round and we're out of this place, wish us the best of luck we'll leave without a trace" To me this sounds like the Rapture, and yes, I grew up going to christian churches but that's well over 15yrs ago, since I'm 22 I don't really think that affects me other than knowing the word, tho I do believe there are definite Truths written in the Bible (aswell as the Quran and Torah for that matter). I'm trying to find a way to enlightenment and to me it seems that everything I do can help me on my road to my goal. Anyone who can help me to the right perspective just pm me! =] |

| Matisyahu – Late Night In Zion Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
ahwell when going through the lyrics i felt it wasnt right, till i saw feef's correction. i think theres more to this song tho, "earth, water, wind, fire" "planting seeds that won't sink in" i mean is matisyahu just naming the 4 elements as a part of his rhyming scheme or is he schemeing this rhyme to name those elements. and it should be obvious this man is trying to plant seeds in his listeners, but these one's áre supposed to sink in and rise to the heavens.. anyways love the music! Bless |

| Puscifer – Indigo Children Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| so this is probably telling that by (21-12 12.12am) 2012 we will have made an end to all analog/electricity draining machines, probably by syncronizing our body and brains with our hearts beating, which is also the rhythm of the moon and tide(waves and everything).. sort of like an all-pulse.. I just still don't know what they're talking about with "sirius venus"? anyone knows who that is? I'll google it after this msg ^^ it is sumwhat what if been "daydreamin" about, tho I've never got my aura checked lol. | |
| Arctic Monkeys – If You Found This It's Probably Too Late Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think their music isnt so overly selfcentered as all of you think actualy.. I have a hunch that "that place" is closest to the true meaning of this song since he'll probably be "too late" when he knows what they're singing about.. even though AM dunno for them selfs, "You figure out pathetic sets, we're not sure of the etiquette We think out pathetic sets, we're not sure of the etiquette" the part says AM makes "pathetic sets" which we are supposed to figure out, and they don't know nething about the etiquette and nor do we, by the time we do it'll be too late once again.. the constant correction are the changes they have to make so they don't unravle too much of what we will be up against.. I'm fond of the idea that arctic monkeys share partially the same vision as the Strokes (I soooo love the way AM covered take it, or leave it! look it up@youtube ;] ) honesty isnt enough coz we dont know the truth yet, our honesty is of what we've seen not of everything that goes around on this planet.. i think the lirics should be taken more literaly than you'd suppose. |

| The Postal Service – This Place Is a Prison Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
omfg quit jabbering about knowing ben or what COZ I AM BEN ! lol stfu! nah im just schizophrenic.. anyways the song obviously is about ben's feeling he had when growing up and getting older, as his situation was seattle (or where ever im from holland idk). the bigger tought of it eventually would be THIS place being the prison and we (our "free-minds") are the prisoners.. this IS a big world, but we don't get to taste even the tip of it.. all of our head gets filled with stuff we don't need to know and toughts, feelings and intuitions about these things we don't need to know.. that extra bit is the part we don't get told but since we do use the useless our "karma"(??) gets intoxicated with the parts we don't know.. like little kids being forced to work (crafts and prostitution) and slavery still going on each and every single day even today.. ahhwell ignore it, stay in your prison.. (and i didnt even start about the drugs part yet..) |

| 30 Seconds to Mars – The Fantasy Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
psychologists have already explained several times that almost every man suffers of some sort of tunnelvision, and that everyone (man or woman) creates at least 70% of their own world.. that is the perception of how each individual sees his or her own world.. i think the songs "fantasy" is reffering to this "70% lack of reality" thus our fantasy. it's not religion it's about, rather human society itself (inc. religion, government, schooling, marketing, friendship, etc). |

| Editors – Bullets Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i think theenlightenment comes "sort of" closest to the truth, but thats just cos of the formula we're using words in, words are concepts/connections in our brains. the bullets wich are this song are shooting this "disease" we have(and helped creating?)(chemical addictions like depression) | |
| Maxïmo Park – Our Velocity Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
oversensitivity.. "I watched a film to change my feelings Strong enough to bear a burden If everyone became this sensitive I wouldn’t have to be so sensitive" the feelings we feel, we all feel them, just as the toughts running through our heads.. some people are more susceptable to being oversensitive and to me it feels that if everyone knew what it's about, I wouldnt have to hold so much in.. |

| The Strokes – Heart In A Cage Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
it think left is heart and right is brain im a lefty and my heart feels caged coz my heart isnt into how i/we live and im just waking up to find how to follow my heart.. and the part about living in the city and belonging in the field is the simple fact that we're "animals" who are supposed to be busy all day instead fucking the world up from behind our desks, with bosses with hidden agenda's(lol rattle). and for the "the sun will be shining, and my children will burn" i think this part relates to "the Eyes of the world" as in the sun already shines so take that as point 0 and if the sun oughtta get to point 10 to get shine in the way our children will have to face, and yes eventualy BURN.. let me get something else out of the way too..: was there ever made a (proto)type of a car that hasnt been driven?? NO!! so do you really think those "WMD's" are for show and will eventually be thrown away? WAKE UP, coz we're falling |
