the thing with most songs is they can shifted and made to fit almost any situation if you really think about it. of course each song has an original meaning, but each song has a different meaning to whoever interprets it. for example to me this song is interpreted as a relationship between 2 people in which they are so in love but it just will never work. ex: Baby, save me Tell me that you wanna take me To the place where we kiss the sky Rain by day, shoot stars by night Now that we made it up into the sky I've been wondering why Why can't we keep away from everything Stay high, just you and I All they want to do is just escape and their wondering as to why it cant be easier, why cant they just leave and stay together and stay happy ("stay high") and just have it work. its as if their asking to run away from everything and just be together forever. i thought it was, my world is a falling around me. but the song seems sort of obvious. like the title 'move on'. both people are trying to move on from a past relationship. He thought things were going fine and she just said something and ended it for whatever reason. and it's all about him saying how he's over it and it's time they both move on (but he's just saying that) Say goodbye to memories Cause I have said so long Say goodbye to all our dreams It's time now to move on he's trying to tell her that he's moved on and all that. but then heree --->And on and on I've tried to Let go My mind can not forget you You're all I know he's saying how there were just so many memories and he's tried so hard but he just can't forget her. but at the end of the song he decides its time to actually move on. |
