I think this song is about a very attractive man, that all the girls fall in love with. Using them one way or another. I too like supageo and bethelinn thought it was about the holocaust, or something else to do with hitler at first. "Be afraid of the cold, they'll inherit your blood" made me think that its about killing or rape, inherit your blood meaning that after you've been killed, the natzis like own your corps,that they're one step closer to eradicating the jewish peoples; or if it concerns being rapped, the product of that will have their blood. But most peoples theory that it's about King Louis XV seems more likely.. |

I personaly think In this song, he is talking to this person he refers to as "you" which is presumably his lover, and then again hes talking to himself, almost as if in third person;viewing all of whats going on. "beware the bottled thoughts of angry young men. secret compartments hide all of the skeletons." - Here he is almost trying to tell this woman, who he still considers as a a girl, to be careful of himself.In the chorus, he is also refering to himself. "stay with me under these waves, tonight. be free for once in your life tonight." - but here for example, he is talking to her, and i think it could be a lie, to get her for sex, or that he has a kind of split persoality, and goes into moods of being emotionaly attached to her i hope that all made sense |
