to me this song is about a person living in a war torn nation like iraq. he/she is talking to the solders in the helicopter. the person wants to be taken away from whats going on around him/her eg. Hello helicopter, will you be my friend? Will you take me away? |

im form australia and at the moment we are goin through a terrible drought. To mean the song is about a farmer who is struggling with bushfires and without rain he cant do anything to save his farm or his family. He wants the rain badly. The line "these worlds colide but the distance remains" to me is how differnt the world seems. for example In the US it was floodied not to long ago but here in aus we havnt had rain for a long time. and the line "if i held my ground would you ask me to change" is the farmers being to that in order to survive they have to leave their farms to provide for their families |
