Death from Above 1979 – White Is Red Lyrics 10 years ago
Also, the "white is red" is obviously her dress getting stained with her blood after the accident in the car.

Nah, she crossed the double line, and she ran head on into another car. I don't think it was on purpose either, she didn't have a license and peeled out at high speed - probably just misread the situation to end up in a terrible accident. There wasn't any talk of abortion in the song. The guy was talking about staying with her and raising the kid the whole way - the talk about going to another state was just so they could start a new life.

Blind Guardian – Damned for All Time Lyrics 17 years ago
About Corum? It's more directly related to Hawkmoon...everything about it. Corum and Elric and all the other incarnations are mentioned on the side.

Of course the chorus is about the Eternal Champion in general. Anyone who's read more than one of the books will know exactly what this song is about.

Does It Offend You, Yeah? – With a Heavy Heart (I Regret to Inform You) Lyrics 17 years ago
I definitely think it has something to do with a baby, maybe an abortion, premature birth, death soon after birth. "She won't be there with a rattle" would be the baby with her rattle, the one that never gets to grow up.

Christened makes me think that they named it before whatever happened.

Perhaps they broke up after the pregnancy ("forgave her" didn't turn out so well) and he thinks that after all of that, naming the baby and everything, that his girlfriend will have an abortion because she doesn't want the baby alone. So he's blaming himself "But I erased her" for the fact that his girlfriend might get an abortion because of the breakup.

So "her wayward eyes" would be the girlfriend perhaps looking for other men before they broke up (what he tried to forgive her for) and the reason why they broke up.

And all he can think of is the baby that might be aborted because of all this.

The second build up of "oh god"s gives me goosebumps, it's why I love this song so much. What I'm saying could be complete bull but "she won't be there with a rattle" just brings me back to a baby with a rattle and I ran from there.

Clutch – Nero's Fiddle Lyrics 17 years ago
I'm sorry but I just couldn't make out the first line of the song.

Otherwise, it seems pretty obvious that it's about the Roman emperor Nero.

65daysofstatic – Faceoftheearth (Clingingonto) Lyrics 18 years ago
This was done for "The Dismemberment Plan" They put several of their songs up for download on their website and asked people to remix them. Their favorites were then later released on their last album, "The People's History of the Dismemberment Plan" So as you might have guessed, it's a remix of their song, "The Face of the Earth" which is some very good stuff off of their "Change" album.

I can hear, transmission-like, in this song,
"The explosion that destroyed our city, razed our homes, transformed our fields into wasteland, is nothing compared to what is now happening to those that survived.
...sixty five..."

It feels like it's out of a movie about the apocalypse. Since rumor has it 65dos was formed at first to create a soundtrack for a little known movie, but kept going on to more things, this might explain things.

I can't make out all the words ou can hear in it, but at the very least I can hear a guy saying as if over transmission, "The children have escaped. 24th day, 12th month, 2 hours since the last transmission....(something else)...Christmas is canceled!" There's something said before this, but I can't make it out. It's on their "Unreleased/Unreleasable" album, so I'm not quite sure what to make of it. It feels like it's out of a soundtrack for a movie, almost like what you get with "Another Code Against the Gone" and some of their other songs.
Rumor has it 65dos were formed to create a soundtrack for a little known movie, which might explain the ethereal transmission feeling of it, but I'm not sure.
