Muse – Screenager Lyrics 18 years ago
this is the Muse song that hits home for me, and i think it hits home for a ton more teenagers out there who have listened to it before.

Screenagers are teenagers who are obsessed with the internet. and technology. but in my eyes, it looks to me like it is about a teenager who has some kind of depression, puts up a screen (not a computer in a sense), and hides him or herself from the world, especially the family. they self harm, and do whatever they can to make themselves feel wanted and known somehow.

it's a sad song, and to be honest? i feel it, it makes me cry. in the chorus when he says "who you were, was so beautiful, remember who... who you were", it is almost as if he is asking for the kid to say what's wrong, you don't have to do this.

lmfao, this had to be Screenager, because it has Razor Blades in the title which is what Screenager was called in the beginning.

Muse – Invincible Lyrics 18 years ago
you can tell that in a sense, it is about he and his fiance, Gaia. in a way it might even be a song for her, because she even said herself in an interview that matt never tells her when a song is written for or about her... he just writes them. but that is beside the point.

it is a song about standing up for what you believe. to me, it might be their new age version of Butterflies and Hurricanes -- mak a change in the world, and stand up for what you believe in.

and i do not think it is a weak song like some have said. i personally think it is very powerful.

Avenged Sevenfold – Seize The Day Lyrics 18 years ago
this song does make me cry, and i think it is my favorite song by A7X. i think it's about moving on after something bad happens. you see something bad, you can't stop living your life. someone dies, you need to live the life that they never had.

Muse – Butterflies and Hurricanes Lyrics 18 years ago
out of every single muse song, this is my favorite. the piano is wonderful, and the lyrics are absolutely amazing.

i read somewhere that this song is about how people can make a change in the world, in the sane sense that a butterfly can re-direct a hurricane from striking. i think what hes saying is that no matter what kind of person, you can make a change. anyone can make a change in the world.

Muse – City of Delusion Lyrics 18 years ago
lets think about what a delusion is -- a delusion is a false belief. from what i get, the song is about how the government is delusional and makes us believe false information, such as conspiracies and stuff like that. it can also correspond with religion, in the sense that sometimes religion to some people -- especially matt because he is an atheist, make it out to be false and not worth believing.

Muse – Megalomania Lyrics 18 years ago
he is comparing religion to megalomania. megalomaniacs believe that they are superior to all, which is what matt is trying to say in the song. to me this is almost like an anti-religion song, but then again it's not. it is from an atheist's standpoint, saying that why do we need to believe in god when we can just happiness and eternal bliss within ourselves? why do we need to follow a god? what is the whole point?

to really understand this song, i personally think you need to almost feel the same way as how matt feels. not fully, be a full atheist, but... somehow just believe in in somewhat to get the whole understanding of what matt is trying to say. he is also contradicting religion by using the church organ throughout the whole song, hell he even went in a chuch and used it for more of a feeling. that is why this song is so haunting to me.

My Chemical Romance – Kill All Your Friends Lyrics 18 years ago
oddly enough then, it reminds me of the movie "Without A Paddle"

all of the guys were reunited at a close friend's funeral. but, that is beside the point.

it shows just how much everyone can change, but when that funeral ended... everyone wanted to hang out. they just wanted to have fun, and be teenagers again. but i get the vibe that, it took a course of over three years (hence, eight years, nine years, ten years) and there was three funerals. and, the last friend was maybe the one who has changed the most. you wish you were a kid again, but you're not.

My Chemical Romance – Heaven Help Us Lyrics 18 years ago
i know it sounds self explanatory, but it still is pretty damn good. it's helped me get through a lot of shit, just like the rest of the album and their other songs.

it's about someone who is going through a really hard time... and i think in a way tries to turn to a god or something.

Alphaville – Forever Young Lyrics 18 years ago
really, really good song. as you get older, it makes you realize that -- being young forever, would pretty much suck. you want to be young forever, but then you realize you have to get up and do something.

i wish i knew why many people hate this song -- i think it is fucking hilarious, but it is the truth. there are so many fucking gangster wannabes and posers in the world today, that it is ridiculous.

i really like the line "At least you'll know you can always go on Ricki Lake"
