and Coin-Operated-Lie, i feel that is a very meaningful interpretation of the song, and everything makes sense! i guess the upshot of all our speculations, though, is that noone really knows what a song as about apart from the person who wrote it, and though it may appear to be someting, iot may be about something totally different! GREAT song though! |

This has to be the saddest song ive ever heard, apart from maybe 'hello' by evanescence (have you HEARD that song? :( ) but anyway, while the lyrics ARE pretty unpleasant (who exactly digs up someone whos dead?) it is a really beautiful song, definetly about devotion after death (actually it IS rather like 'hello' , but maybe more like 'like you' by evanescence ("I long to be like you/ lie cold in the ground like you")) but it a really powerful song, especially the last bit. i think it is really strange 'i made you breakfast but you would not eat' as i think it is a normal characteristic of someone dead NOT to eat, maybe?But then again, this could be saying that hes trying to make the past come back, but its not happeneing/// |

Yes you are all right. I feel maybe it is about a gf/would-be fiance, hence the ' i never told you, I do' bit. Maybe the illness got in the way? and also the 'sweet as a honey glaze'; bit doesnt seem to fit a family member... well anyway i am in love with this song it is sooo sad. like black dress. by the way does anyone know why lots of kisschasy songs are themes around death? |

Gosh scary thought! i love this song. I think, giving the musical history (Ione Skye, anyone?) of kisschasy, this song is possibly being sarcastic, l;ike maybe making fun of all these people who will go to any lengths to have the 'perfect' GF/BF and also the 'hey there brown hair you will compliment my image this week' bit (emphasis on the THIS WEEK) is about how people have 'disposable' gf/bfs who they care nothing for, but who will make them look good |

I really like this song, especially the 'smiles that take away eyesight' bit, as it reminds me to keep smiling when sometimes i dont want to, and maybe people wont be able to see me for my smile :P and 'we fell asleep. fell in love and woke up with a brand new scar' because its got the same tune as the 'smiles that take away eyesight' bit :P oh yes and the ' ive fallen on my feet, im right here finally where i wanna be' bit (the whole chorus-type part) because it reminds me of when you have a feeling that you just BELONG somewhere, and wouldnt want to be anywhere else! |

yes this song is the best!! (obviously like every other song by kisschasy!!) but as to the meaning, it would appear to about pressure to be like something,but also just about music and how it affects people. (when we play the beat,its what i live for. takes everythign away form me) and yes, there IS a funny bit at the end thats really high and, if you ask me, un-recognisable as saying anything at all, but it IS there! |

yes the lyrics are very beautiful but I CANNOT FIND 'The Shake' single ANYWHERE!! I REALLY want to hear this song though!!! well anyway from the lyrics it looks pretty self-explanatory, but who knows...? A lot of Kisschasys sings seem to be centred on death though... They are the prettiest songs |

| I absolutely LOVE Fall Out Boy, and this song is GREAT! The lyrics are really good and, I must say it DID occur to me in parts of it that is was about Petes OD. Especially the parts about 'love in a parking lot', considering he OD'd in a parking lot. or maybe he just referred to the parking lot because of the OD, but the song isnt really about that, but parking lots are... emotional places for him...
