| Poison the Well – Antarctica Inside Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| this song is the one that has recently got me interested in poison the well. its very atmospheric and the music is very good but its the lyrics that immediately struck me. its the feeling of not knowing whats wrong in a relationship when technically everything should be fine. it is also coincidental that in my case she is a ballerina as well. fuck..... | |
| Gallows – Will Someone Shoot That Fucking Snake Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| i only just saw this post. seeing that this album was 3 years ago, they have the new one out now. its much more mature and actually has more message. lets be honest, first album for a punk band is more about energy and image than message. now that they have toured the whole world and are a huge band, they can say what they want. which is what they are doing with their new album Grey Britain. musically a lot more straightforward i think, but its good. | |

"As the sea breeze hits my lungs It takes me back to where I belong To where I belong" First time i read it, without realizing, this lyrics immediately reminded me of the Brighton beach and how the winds are quite strong there but really nice. I think there's a correlation between that and the fact that these cats are from Brighton. |

lol i can see where "gothic thrash metal" comes from! the song gets really epic in the chorous. anyway back to the meaning. I pretty much agree with everyone here. As log have said themselves it is about alcoholism and that is how Randy sees the song but as AlmightNerd says Randy loves religious metaphors so you can relate to it if you are thinkin religously. I think this song is about yourself rather than anything else. It is blaming God or the Devil for the good and the bad you do, but in the end of the day, there is no god or devil and it is all the good and bad side of yourself. It is exactly the same person! I think it is basically a struggle of man in difficulties and how he tries to blame all on others (or in case of Randy blame it on alcohol) where as you need to think of ways to get out it rather than avoiding it. The reference to this is the first verse. Can someone please post their idea on "i shudder to think of the consequence its blasphemy simple and true the tragic protaganist torments convincing myself again" I dont really get it. |

| Lamb of God – Omerta Lyrics | 18 years ago |

i think the relations of this song to the mafia code of omerta and judas are true as mentioned above, but i think the reference to judas is just one example of disobeying the law. The person who first wrote that was more concerned on the religious side of this song so Judas was the betrayer he thought of, althuogh the breaker of the code can be anyone who betrays you. It is about keeping your mouth shut n the consequences if u dont. I think Randy had been betrayed by someone to write that and it kind of matches the story of Judas and Jesus. This is only my opinion though! but i know LOG kick ass. I think they try to say their point with making religious refrences regularly. Im not sure. |
