i think this song is about two people who cant be together - maybe an affair. he tries to hold on but she doesnt want to, so he waits til her "heart runs empty" for the other guy so that she'll realise what they have. i love the line: "If any moment should take you away, I know I’ll always have this one". it's like one happy moment can make all the pain worthwhile. i can relate to that. |
