my auntie sings this song i LOVE it not only do the other kids laugh cz she 'poor' but because she talks of god which is so true in alot of bullying cases - its so uncool to be religious which i find real sad my brother doesn't like me to sing this song cause i turn into dolly(american accent) (im from england) bless him |

ok im sorry but i was confused by two references to kenny 1)unoriginalname16 - did 'meatloaf' kill kenny?! dya mean he was in the other car?! 2)the drugs related death theory about crashing and burning - was 'meatloaf' not like still part of his life and would know this - he was told and he doesnt understand why it would happen to someone so young so if it had been drugs he would be aware of the danger kenny was dealing with?! |

i may be wrong i dont know about school shootings really only from media but thats not what i got from this song but i initially thought it was the 'nerd' who hit his mam giving her a black eye?! pressure was making him angry...in the dinner hall he thought people were judging more because of him being violent to his mam even if they didnt know...he thought they were now pickling on him about that as well mary i again straight away thought had been raped. it is upsetting to find out your pregnant but she is distraught. i figured after she found the body she got messed up probably started to party to hard got herself in a situation and ended up pregnant.later with the nurse shes obviously upset shes pregnant and looks more disgusted. greg. now after the first two stories i thought perhaps he had been the one to attack mary and receiving his comeuppance...hence at the end she ignores his side of memorial and blames nerdy. but lads fight it may have just been a conflict that got too far out of hand? classroom shooting didnt once come to mind when i heard this song. legs in chains i thought was about beating his mum...he thought people would find out and hed be punished. dunno but thats how i heard it and the video matched. |

| Well I think you're all probably right, but sometimes I think the lyrics sound a bit like the guy is a stalker, obsessing over some lovely beach girl and watching her as she has flings with the 'boys of the summer'! I guess that's not going to be a very popular theory, but I like how the lyrics are ambiguous like that. | |
