| This is a cover, it's not one of Priscilla's. Benji Hugues wrote it. | |
| Brandi Carlile – The Story Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Brandi's voice is definitely the best I've heard. And her songwriting is absolutely amazing, but, this song was not written by Brandi Carlile. It was written by one of the twins in her band, Phil Hanseroth, and he should get the credit he deserves. It's an amazing song, and Brandi's vocals just add the perfect finish. Brandi Carlile and Tim and Phil Hanseroth are an unstobbable trio at their writing. I suggest buying The Story, and their debut, Brandi Carlile. |

| Anna Nalick – Soldier Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Anna's story for this song is absolutely amazing. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, this "soldier" is the boy who "turned 21 at the base at Fort Bliss" in "Breathe(2AM)" | |

Everyone's piecing it together slowly. To confirm something, it's about an abusive boyfriend. The best line is, "I turn around three times and wound up at your door." The average number of times for an abused girl to return to her abusive boyfriend is three times. Clever lyrics. |

| Anna Nalick – More Than Melody Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Simply, a one-night stand. Anna says most of her boyfriends do something stupid and there's a song about them. She's saying she want's someone who's more than a song to her, that she doesn't just want another guy to write a song about. Absolutely amazing girl. | |
| Anna Nalick – Citadel Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This song is most definitely about being scared to jump in with both feet, quite simply. Letting go of what she's known. My favorite line that I treasure is the "What if I fall, What if I don't?" We're so worried about falling, not succeeding. What if we DON'T fall, and we get what we want? What are we going to do with it? |

| Anna Nalick – Catalyst Lyrics | 18 years ago |

There's obviously quite some discussion on this song and I'd like to clear it up a bit. I'd like to let you know I've seen Anna quite a few times. Heard her story on her songs, and met her as well. First of all, the bridge is: You'll be the vein, you'll be the pain, you'll be the scar You'll be the road, rolling below, the wheels of a car And all of your thoughts on God, Don't know if I'm strong enough...No You'll be the vein, you'll be the pain, you'll be the... Catalyst. Anna grew up in Glendora, CA, very close to LA. She knew a lot of people who experimented with drugs and alcohol, trying to "make it." She saw these unsuccessful tries, and didn't want to be subject to it. I hope that helps. Email me if you have any questions. |
