this song is ironic. it has a pretty upbeat melody however the lyrics and the message seem quite dark. to me it seems to be saying that we are finally waking up and seeing the bad that's going on around us. "Here we are now with falling sky and the rain, we're awakening, Here we are now with the desperate youth and the pain, We're awakening" we're finally realising whats going on in the world around us, we're waking up to the truth. now we have to fix it. well, thats my opinion. I also love the part "i wanna wake up kicking and screaming..." you can feel the frustration. |
