I think of the song more from the point of this guy. Who either has an ex-girlfreind or a freind whos a girl. He sees her doin all this stupid shit. When he says "Unfastens inspiration from your throat." I think he means he either gets choked up or pissed and screams. He also is mad at her for being a whore and "Jumping into the back of the cars" and she always gets used and ends up in the same place. Then she always trys to come back to him for help. If he doesn't help her she threatens to slash her wrists and this happens finally after many threats she slashs her wrists. He finds her when it says "You told me they drove you to it." She's telling him why she did it. and then the part where he says "How many times have you woken up in a strangers arms covered in the gasoline as they hover above you with the match they ignite." I think its a metaphore as to the game she plays and they always win and she always loses. Amazing song though I don't know how everyone says YCBY is a bad cd they are all amazing go get every fuckin one the newest is versions which has a new-er sound if your expecting TFTR and only like that cd then you don't want Versions Which has the most diverse sounding songs But they still have that aw inspireing Chaotic melody Prematuro El baby is a good example alright Im done rambling |

Well fuck honestly I've heard poison the well called so many genres -Post hardcore-Emo-Screamo-Metal? All I fucken know is it ain't rap And to anyone who hates the softer stuff like the beginning to this song is in no way "pop". He is just "Singing" I don't know maybe you've heard of it before. |

Fuck I love the pumpkins version but the screaming is awsome. Anyone noticed theres no lyrics to soma and thats the song that was on the smashing pumpkins tribute cd that came out alittle while ago. But Armor for sleep covered today and did alright. Poison the well's version is better my own personal Very Biased opinion though haha oh and does anybody know if this WAS released on cd or just downloaded I want better quality |

Theres no way I can rank all the new songs off the cd. There all amazing for different reasons. But I think this song is about Maybe blowing up at your girlfreind and becoming a monster and him goin to see her to apologize and that nothing can stop him "Destroying the homes of creatures trying to hide below i will bash the rocks till my hands shatter Making a straight path to you I'm on my way now" and then where he says "You must remember that I always swept the pieces I left behind" he means that he has always apologized and made everything right when he was wrong. Maybe I see somthing thats not there. |

| I thought of it as him speaking as though he is hisfather. who I believed walked out on him as a child or just never was an actual father to him. I base this on the song "loved ones" from "you come before you". I imagine he may have taken alittle inspiration from lots of differnt places though. | |
