| Megadeth – Mechanix Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Btw if heard Hanger 18, and it doesn't come anywhere near "The Call Of Ktulu". Sure, its sounds alike at parts, but thats no reason to say their the same, same goes for Mechanix and The Four Horsemen. AND keep in mind Megadeth didn't have Cliff Burton, so there are noticable differences. | |

Hey, The Matterhorn, ever heard of these albums? Kill'Em All Ride The Lightning Master Of Puppets ...And Justice For All Metallica( the black album) Load Reload Garage Inc. Don't judge Metallica by one album you idoit, they make up for it 20 fold with their others. btw "Rust In Peace>Master Of Puppets"?????? lmao. Thats funny. That the funniest thing if heard all day. WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR KIDDING?I would love to see Megadeth match Master Of Puppets, Orion, or Welcome Home(Sanitarium) |

| Megadeth – In My Darkest Hour Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Metallica is better, no question. has for Cliff Burton, he WAS the greatest bassist EVER. Metallica has more fans, and they've came much better in the Billboard Top 200 with 4 number ones, 2 number twos, and a 6 while Megadeth has a *cough* 3. Has for the Metallica-Megadeth guitar strength debate, on the Rolling Stones Top 100 Guitarists, Kirk Hammett came in #11 while Megadeth's isn't featured on the list. Dave Mustaine made the band in vain, he only wanted to out do metallica, which he failed miserablely at. |

| Metallica – Escape Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This is a reflection of the typical teenage spirit of questioning society's rules and wanting to be different. Because teens find rules stupid and pointless because they here them over and over and dont bother listening to it. They refuse to listen and tire to isolate themselves from adults or "escape". "I don't care now, 'cause I'm on my side And I can see through you Feed my brain with your so called standards Who says that I ain't right" This is evidence of a teenagers refusal to accept they could be wrong about their believes, no matter what adults say. |

| Metallica – Leper Messiah Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Its about Tele-Evangilists that say that salvation is an easy payment away, when really it is obviously a scam to get your money. It is believed the death of Jame's mother, like The God That Failed, had an influence on this song. In that case, this maybe be a reflection of Jame's failing faith because of his mother death and the fact her religion discouraged medical treatment. | |
| Metallica – To Live Is to Die Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Respect and love to Cliff Burton. | |
| Metallica – Holier Than Thou Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I believe this song was made out to those who believed Metallica was satanist because of a few rumors and the title of two songs( Leper Messiah ,The God That Failed), and, therefore are quick to judge and seem to have nothing better to do than criticize when they themselves are not anywhere near "perfect". In any case, there was truth behind both songs, and this is coming from the mouth of a Catholic, so don't say i'm an Anti-Christ. | |
| Metallica – Don't Tread On Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It protests the Vietnam and Gulf wars." Never Begins it" simply means that America went there for no real reason at all, the same applies for the Iraqi War. "Never surrenders" is Americas reluctantly to end the war, for example, we are still in Iraq although there are no weapons of mass destruction and the Iraqis have there own government. It is a reflection of Justice(the album). | |
| Metallica – Battery Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is about uncontrollable rage, the desire to hurt someone. | |
| Metallica – Fight Fire With Fire Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Its about the theory of Mutually Assured Destruction(M.A.D.), or more commonly known as, Nuclear Winter. Easy to depict. | |
| Metallica – Creeping Death Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The book of Exodus, obviously. Why is this even open for discussion? | |
| Metallica – The Frayed Ends of Sanity Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I personally think it is not about insanity, but a close cousin, paranoia. Perhaps its about someone who entered witness protection and is paranoid and fearful for the criminal after him. "Fighting the Fear of Fear" -Paranoid fear of the criminal "Growing Conspiracy"- Conspiracy and paranoia are linked. "Everyone's after Me"- His paranoia makes him trust no one, hes jumpy and is suspecting of everyone. Of coarse, insanity might(more than likely) be the main plot, but just posting my opinion. |

| Metallica – The Thing That Should Not Be Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Why do you say James got the band into it? It was actually Cliff Burton, himself a fan of H. P. Lovercraft. | |
| Metallica – Trapped Under Ice Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Perhaps this song is a precursor to "One"? "Freezing" "Can't move at all"- One is incapable of moving, also "Screaming" "Can't hear my call"- One is metioned trying to cry for help, but no one answers him. "I am dying to live"- His Sanity is tourchered by the fact hes in his state, so his hopes are dieing because he's alive. Cry out I'm trapped under ice "No release from my cryonic state"- Trapped within one's self. Now where have i heard the before...? "what is this? I've been stricken by fate"- Your typical 'Why me?' "Wrapped up tight, cannot move, can't break free"- This really needs no explanation "Hand of doom has a tight grip on me"- Again, reference to "One's" inescapable hell "Scream from my soul"- The only scream One is capable of "Fate, mystified"- another 'Why Me?' "Hell, forever more"- Remember One's last line, "Left me with life in Hell"? Same concept. What do you guys think? |

| Metallica – The Call of Ktulu Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is possibly Cliff Burton's greatest work. Easily Metallica's best instrumental, and 9:00 minutes of heavy metal heaven. | |
| Metallica – (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is is probably the best Metal Bass solo ever. My 2nd favorite instrumental, second only to The Call Of Ktulu( also curiosity of Cliff). Seeing as its an instrumental, no real meaning can be extracted from it, besides showing Cliff's bass gutaur skills. | |
