The Black Dahlia Murder – Dave Goes To Hollywood (Vice Campaign) Lyrics 18 years ago
Anarkiska is right about this one... its about decadence on tour, and what the touring life is really like behind the perfect image that every idiot kid has of a travelling musician. It talks about neglecting the life you have always known to go out and live like a dog, and how easy it is to lose everything you had back home (friends, lovers).

Anything about being cold or frozen; and seeing your breath is about being from Michigan. The reference to the 'mitten' in the chorus is also to their beloved state.

The second half of the chorus is an acknowledgment of an alcoholic nature... he thanks beer ("amber") for making his adventure in loneliness more tolerable.

The Black Dahlia Murder – Spite Suicide Lyrics 18 years ago
This is def about a relationship gone sour. He is trying to hurt his former lover with the lyrics... using their aborted child as ammunition. He wonders if it was going to be a boy or a girl, what it would have looked like had it been born ("what color eyes should be staring at me in my dreams?"). He tries to paint the child as a monster... the only possible outcome of breeding with such an evil woman. He references the abortion in "I'm Charming" as well: "Bury me deep, as I have an unborn child"
