The lyric is wrong, first of all, if's not "we try", it is "Betray" and not "If only I had the strength then maybe you could believe in something else." It's "If only i had the stenght you would compleatly exepting somthing else" Anyway, the song is about pregnasy, Its about a yung cople, that about to have a baby, non of them have even turned 18 yet and the father dont wanna have a child, he thinks it's to soon so he prays to god that she's not gonna keep it! The mother thinks that abortion is killing so she wanna keep it. Well, it all ends with the girl loses the child in a carcrash "theres been an accident here". Thats why he names the power cables, when shes at the hostpital. and it's "the child cousted and she lies opened up.", that means that hes pray kind of worked and now she lays without a baby with her both leggs opend and blod everywere... if you keep asking me i melt away is from her keep on telling him she's gonna keep the child.
