| Well, I've heard from many sources that this whole album is based on people he met while in rehab (back then rehab wasn't what it is today, they basically threw him in an asylum with psychotics and mental patients). So, Millie and Billie is about a murderous couple that was there, Nurse Rosetta is about a priest who, well, let's just say can't keep it down, etc etc. All supposedly based on real people. And this one, I believe, is about himself. I'd say that's pretty big of him to tell us all about the crazies in the asylum, but before he does so admit that he also was one and tell us about himself. | |

I think this song is from the perspective of the Angry Sniper (learn more at bethehammer.net/). "Hold your breath, wait until the time is right" - hold your breath to steady your rifle right before you take the shot, and on another level it could mean don't get excited, take your time in your revolution, be calm. "listen to the shit they pump into your head, filling it up with apathy" - the media and the government telling people lies to keep them complacent. could also refer to parepin, which seems to affect the brain so that the subject becomes more complacent and accepting of the totalitarian government they are under. that's all i got for now. |
