| Tool – The Pot Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Can't it just be a combined mixture of Maynard's feelings towards himself and his addicting with pot? I could his open addressing towards his own addiction, and his hypocrisy from doing it. | |

I have no idea what these lyrics mean but the music itself does everything for me, especially via the climax it so beautifully builds up and carries out. Amazing. |

I know the meaning behind this song and it's one of my all time favourites, but right now I don't even care about the lyrics so much... The wailing in the middle section is just so beautiful.. so much expressed with no words at all. *___* |

| This song is the favourite song of mine by the Architect's. The time signature changes and the fretting is fucking amazing. | |

And why is that? The organs add irony to the song, since it's all about atheism. It makes sense to me to say this anyways. It's sort of like a tongue-in-cheek statement; sortof comparing himself to God because they 'both have organs now'... Matt Bellamy, I believe, is not being arrogant; he's just saying metaphorically that 'he is God', which is a common saying for lots of Atheists we they live by the phrase "you're your own God", or something similar to that. |

| Obviously, atheism. The name says it all. | |

Haha Street_Spirit, I think the newest album is the most politically controverisal, whilst 'Origin or Symmetry' and 'Absolution' both have a very good shot at the end of the world, atheism, that kind of thing. Take your pick. This song? Well it means two things to me: 1) MOSH PEOPLE, MOSH. 2) People, shoot your fucking leaders, please. xD |

| Muse – Thoughts of a Dying Atheist Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I thank Wulphe for backing up the understanding of Atheism. Very frankly I am quite heavily atheist, but that does not mean I am afraid of death. Believe that death is the end, however, is true, but that does not mean that I am afraid of death. That said, I think this song is about a person who wasn't not orignally an atheist, but as he dies he realises that he is so. And it sure does 'scare the hell' out of him. Matthew Bellamy has captured that moment for this song, for whatever the reason he chooses, but it simultaneously disses religion, since it talks about someone who converts to atheism in their dying moments. That's what I think anyways. Beautiful beautiful song. |

| Muse – Stockholm Syndrome Lyrics | 18 years ago |

To me, this song is about human cruelty, collaborated with the theme of hostages and prisoners. We are our own hostage, and we are our own prisoners. You can't can't hold humanity back ("I won't hold you back").. and he continues with this theme, hence the line "let your hatred grow" And yet he can't ignore it, because he is human as well, hence the lines "and we'll fly and we'll fall and you'll burn, no one will recall, no one will recall..." No one will recall because we'll all be dead- as prisoners of ourselves, destructive of our own lives. Very apocalyptic, cynical views; hence all the "this is the last time.." All whilst being a human, he feels like he can't escape this relationship with the destructive nature we've created. Makes sense to me, the whole kidnapper theme thing, and also theme of the album. Beautiful song. |
