| Paramore – Born for This Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Does anyone else see this as a religious song? The entire first paragraph reminds me of a relationship with Jesus, and being saved. "It takes aquired minds to taste, to taste, to taste this wine, you can't down it with your eyes." reminds me alot about communion. You can't down it with your eyes, you have to fully experience it in every sense. The chorus makes me think about feeling the pressure to get your life right with God before you die, and realizing that death could come at any time. "You're the only reason I'm not letting go..." again, refference to a relationship with God. And no, I'm not being some religious maniac who thinks every song is somehow related to God. I'm just saying that I know what Paramore are Christians, and this song really makes me think about the faith. |

| Mika – Happy Ending Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This song is so absolutely beautiful. I love the way it can make you feel heartbroken, even if you've never fully experienced heartbreak. (Then again, who hasn't in some way?) "Wake up in the morning, stumble on my life." describes the feeling of waking up from a dream and going back into the real world, stumbling upon it as if, in your dreams, everything had vanished. The rest of this part is mostly self-explanatory. I don't think that the "Little bit of Heaven, little bit of hell" was supposed to mean he wishes anything bad upon the person; I think in life, there's a natural balance of good and evil which keeps us sane. "This is the hardest story that I've ever told, no hope of love or glory, Happy ending's gone forevermore." speaks for itself. "I feel as if I'm wasted, and I'm wasting everyday" describes the feeling of feeling wasted, drunk, numb. Wasting everyday feeling bad about what went wrong. "2 o'clock in the morning, someone's on my mind. Can't get no rest; keep walking around." obviously describes the feeling of waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to sleep, because your brain continues to replay events and conversations with that person. Pretending nothing ever went wrong, and going to sleep pretending that you're still together, at least for some closure until morning. I think the way the song goes "This is the way you left me, I'm not pretending." speaks for both how he's not being dramatic for attention, or to make the other person feel bad, and he's NOT stretching the truth for record sales. This song is so sadly beautiful. |

| Mika – Stuck In The Middle Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Mika said in an interview that the song seems odd due to the opening line, but he wrote it about his mother and grandmother. Not that he's waiting for them to die, but he thinks about it alot because they've always had a big role in his life, and he wonders what he'll do when they're gone. "Are five kids better than one?" refers to his family; he's the middle child in a family of 5. |

This is an amazing song, and it seems to me I read in an interview once that this song is indeed about his family's friend Rafa (The woman who pops out of the cake in the 'Love Today' video), who lost her eye during the war in Lebanon. About the way that there's nothing you can do. It reminds me of when the whole terrorism started in the states, and I asked my mom what we would do. She said "There's nothing we can do... whatever will happen will happen, and we shouldn't spend our time worrying about something we can't control." I think that's one of the main things that makes his songs so amazing; they're personal, and most of them sound like conversations we've all either had with someone else or ourselves at one point or another. Anyway, here's the link for the new official video. The next single worldwide is 'Big Girl', but he released this single only in Germany. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Xp7G6aJrGI |

I was under the impression he was singing 'Here's a curse; you're just like your mother', because people always say that to young girls and it's supposed to be like a curse or insult. He also says 'Little tyke, like to tease for fun' Tykes are kids. And "Licks her lips like there's something on 'em " |

| Ps; I love this song. I think it's one of the most incredible and influencial things I've heard in a long time. | |

I think you guys hit the nail on the head, BUT, does anybody think that maybe the 'bitter, bitter man' part could be about God? I hope not, due to the fact that if it is, it's controversial, and Mika would be going against everything he represents. Possibly? |

Perhaps one of the sweetest songs I've heard in a LONG time. They're amazing live. One time in Shamokin, not enough people showed up for a show. So the guys just hung around with us. I've seen them two or three times, and every time, they've hung out with me afterwards. |
