| Bad Books – It Never Stops Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| “It’s loosely based on a two-day sort of run where someone I’m close with and I were just basically playing weekend in the middle of the week and just kinda being messy in that part of Brooklyn where the park is. We ended up in the park at, like, one in the afternoon, after being awake for like 36 hours, drinking frozen margaritas out of styrofoam cups, and I remember thinking, like, this is really good, this is really good, til I thought, this is really bad, which is often how those things kinda went.” -Andy Hull | |
| The Gaslight Anthem – Blue Dahlia Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
I think the song's set up can confuse people. How I hear it: [her asking] "Where'd you get them scars? How blue is your heart? Is it sad enough to break?" She said [him responding] "it's sad enough to break" [her asking] How long was your life? Was it cold and strange like mine? Are you man enough to lay here? She said, "I'm man enough my baby, come see about me" I had a dream about you once, and I could barely see your form And I met you between the wax and the needle, In the words of my favorite song Your black hair was like a raven with your tan skin on the beach Your backdrop were the auroras and my sidekick was all this grief I've been so low down, I'm almost level with the ground "Where'd you get them scars? How blue is your heart? Is it sad enough to break?", She said [him responding] "it's sad enough to break" [her asking] "How long was your life? Was it cold and strange like mine? Are you man enough to lay here?", She said, [him reponding] "I'm man enough my baby, come see about me" [him recalling] Did they take you to the carnival to get locked up on a ride? Me, I got caught up with the fortune tellers And the ladies with the sleepy eyes It took years my baby just to come clean, Every streetlight a reminder And all those apologies And the night was lonely next to me Even the night was lonely next to me Does everyone agree with this formatting? I was talking to a friend who was confused about the singer asking the girl if she was "man enough", so this is how I explained it to him. |

| Right Away, Great Captain! – Oh No, I Tried Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
i'm really curious about the line in question still, because really, i think all of the possible words could make sense, other than 'money'. you don't sell money, you give it away. and it just sounds nothing like the word money. "I would sell my martyr" - like selling out or offering up his martyr. makes sense, but andy is very religious and i don't know if he'd say something like that "I would sell my mutter" - he's a musician, so selling his 'mutter' is selling his voice, his way of expressing himself, his livelihood. "I would sell my mother" - i honestly thought this was what he was saying for a long time. i assumed the h sound was missing because of andy's accent when singing? selling one's mother is considered generally a pretty serious thing i suppose, like someone else said, its like swearing on 'your mother's grave', but obviously andy's mother is still alive, so.. because i've wondered about the meaning for so long, it kind of took on all three meanings to me. which i like a bit more than just one word, one meaning. art is all about perception, and only andy can say for sure what the line is beautiful song, regardless. ragc! never ceases to amaze me |

| Stars – Your Ex-Lover Is Dead Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
i adore this song. its quickly become one of my favorites. to me, its about two people who were together, and it never really went to an extremely deep level. they remember eachother vaguely, or they're just pretending that they can't recall the emotions that came with their relatioship, or lack thereof. Captured a taxi despite all the rain We drove in silence across Pont Champlain And all of that time you thought I was sad I was trying to remember your name - they shared a taxi, and the ride was a silent one. they had been together, maybe just a fling or one night stand, and this is the guy's thoughts on it. he couldn't remember her name, because it was such an insignifcant relationship in his eyes This scar is a fleck on my porcelain skin You tried to reach deep but you never got in And now you're outside me, you see all the beauty Repent all your sin - this is the girl's view on it. some relationships leave large scars, and the wounds never fully heal. to her, the relationship she had with him was insignificant, they both feel the same way about it. she never let him get deep enough to hurt her, and so it was a shallow wound, hence 'this scar is a fleck on my porcelain skin' Nothing but time and a face that you'll lose I chose to feel it and you couldn't choose - this makes me think that one of them broke up with the other. but the other verses lead me to believe that the person who 'chose to feel it' got over it quickly anyway I'll write you a postcard, I'll send you the news From the house down the road from real love - they were in 'the house down the road from real love'. again, one or both of them wasn't feeling it, and so it never went anywhere. There's one thing I have to say so I'll be brave You were what I wanted I gave what I gave I'm not sorry I met you I'm not sorry it's over I'm not sorry there's nothing to save I'm not sorry there's nothing to save - they're both saying although they don't regret the way it turned out, they also don't regret the arrangement that they had going. it is what it is. the 'live through this, and you won't look back' is how i think a lot of relationships are. the initial feeling of not being wanted anymore is unbearable, but by the time you get over it and see the person again, you've already forgotten how upset you were about the entire thing. thats just my take on it though, different people decipher things in different ways. regardless, its an amazing song. |

| Brand New – Jesus Christ Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| in the bible, he was nailed to a wooden cross, like spacemanspiff02 said. it'd be pretty hard to stick someone to a cross with 'wooden nails'. the stakes would have had to be some sort of metal, like iron or something. | |
| Kevin Devine – Just Stay Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
i agree with both of you :) but to be more specific: first verse, he refers to his friend/dealer as being a doctor, which is ironic. he's being sarcastic by asking 'you started practicing? i never got the note' like, his dealer should be the last person to comment on his condition and the way he's living his life. but his friend supplies him with drugs, and then kevin self medicates with said drugs, trying to find something that will last and maybe balance his brain. So here we are again, inside your neon shrine, (neon shrine= tripping/rolling/drug room. usually painted with neon black light paint, black lights turned on. its like flying through space when you're high) sharing a chopping block (chopping block= where they prepare the drugs) beneath embarassed light that tries to hide from us it tucks itself away. (the day passed by quickly when they get fucked up, so maybe its talking about the sun being 'shy'?) So we both grab hold and say no you don't. (holding onto the 'light', and the feelings that the drugs give them) Just stay, just stay. the last verse is his female friend/girlfriend reading new lyrics he wrote, hence the "And she said, it's pretty, but you hate yourself, I can hear it clear as day." to which he reponds with "when i sing like this, it sounds worse than it is. I'm okay, okay" sounds to me like he doesn't know himself, he doesn't know how to be truly happy, so he's doing the only thing he knows how to do; chase temporary highs. |

| Bright Eyes – Lua Lyrics | 15 years ago |

well conor had a drug problem and he was bulemic. he hated himself in general, every aspect. so it could be about coke or an ED. like noti said, its all about how the listener's process the lyrics, and how they see it in relation to their own problems. which is why conor's music is amazing, its so easy to relate to that people often argue about the true meaning, which only he really knows. |

| Mumm-ra – She's Got You High Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
this song was lovely in '500 days of summer'. i feel like it fit the movie really well. how i see it: the guy is in love with the girl, she's "got him high" but the girl doesn't believe in love ("we've lost romance this world has turned so see through"- how she views love) he tells her to "open your mind, believe it's going to come to" then he's thinking "keep romance alive and hope she's going to tell you" like he's hoping that she's going to tell him that he's shown her love, and she believes now. just my take on it :) either way, this song is so upbeat and adorable. |

| Right Away, Great Captain! – Memories on a Deck, Pt. 2 Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
i agree with those who said its 'don't you bleed out an apology, you'll always be a liar to me." its about him being out to sea, and missing his 'loved' ones, who turned on him. his brother sleeping with his wife. that sort of thing. being betrayed while he's out sailing. the first verse is about someone turning on him, whether it be his wife, or another woman who was just a friend. i can see a shit faced brother that i covered for what must have been the last 10 years - he defended his brother for years, and he still betrayed him. in the worst way, by sleeping with his wife. i can see a heart sized hole inside the bottle where I'm pondering a mid night swim - he's turned to drinking, trying to fill the hole that was left when he was betrayed by said brother and wife. i could tell you i was dying but you wouldn't know for 3 more years - he's out sailing away from home, so even if he was dying and sent someone to tell his wife/brother, they wouldn't know for another 3 years. and he'd probably already be dead. |

| Right Away, Great Captain! – Cutting Off the Blood to Ten Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
wait a minute, i just listened read the lyrics while listening to this, and it changed my view on it. rather than his biological father talking about it, i think it might be 'Jesus' or 'God' in parts. it just feels like such a religious, faithful song. much like their other songs. Well I didnt think it would end like this Cutting of the blood to ten With a rope around my wrist - cutting off the blood to ten, as in ten fingers. ropes around their wrists, being hung on a cross? - sounds like the crucification of jesus? it could be literal, like jesus thinking or saying it. or it could be his biological father, seeing as when you have a kid, you take responsibility for their actions, even without agreeing to do so. you raised that person, and so people believe that the morals you've instilled in them are your own morals. And I wished I could have told my son That I was the coward one Its never admirable when your father cant move on - not sure if this is his father or him talking about it. it could be andy talking about how he left his wife when he found out about her sleeping with his brother? Well I never thought that you would slip inside Your brothers unfaithful wife While the children were down the stairs I saw what you were doing And I wished that I have burnt that goddamn door Finding both of you on the floor - biological father? or it could be 'God' or 'Jesus', seeing as people seem to believe that they're all knowing. Realizing your brides a whore Really takes an enormous toll On your head - thinking about how it will affect andy? Well I didnt think that you could craft this song Sleeping with the devil and all And I can hear you sing along - 'sleeping with the devil and all': lust is a deadly sin, both his wife and his brother were tempted and gave in. really religious people see a temptress or the natural lust in a person as a piece of the devil living in them that they need to fight. And I wished that I could have told the lord To sever me at the chord - 'sever me at the chord' or 'cord'? cord reminds me of an umbilical cord, like andy is saying that he shouldve been killed before he even had a chance to live? i'm not sure how to word it. or it could be a 'chord/cord' he's going to use to hang himself? or a chord that Jesus, or even Andy, is being crucified with? For now Ill keep my hands around this thing And wait for an apostle to sing - he's waiting for a sign? So just sink or swim - sink of swim, fight or flight, give up or fight for your life? i don't know, this is probably entirely jumbled and incoherent. i just had to write it down while i was still in the state of mind i was in when i really considered all of it. |

blue line is the T, and the he lost his tokens (coins you put into the machines to go through the turnstyles) and the 'turnpike' is the mass turn pike. its all about boston, baby! i think its about meeting someone in new england, falling in love, loosing them, and being reminded of them everytime you go back for a visit. so the singer thinks, well maybe i should just find a new love in new england so that the area no longer reminds me of my lost love. yaknow? |

god i love this song. i can't believe there aren't more comments. i think its about how much shit is going on in the world, and how everyone is having a rough time. so people need to stop hating eachother, because at the end of the day, we're all human. we're all imperfect. and we're all the same, even if we don't realize it. and fighting just adds more shit to everyone else's lives. |

wow, i feel stupid. i always thought they were saying 'preacher, i'm slutting it up cause i know love's not enough' like he was 'confessing' he's been kind of tricking girls into thinking he's 'not in control' hahaha. either way, i love this song. in my opnion, its about partying and fucking whoever you want, then blaming it on the alcohol and drugs, because he doesn't believe in love and doesn't want a relationship with any of the girls. alcohol gives him confidence, as well as an excuse. and i agree with lamantle about the line: 'im with my uncle and his mother, and the rest of my family's history's with me shouting 'HAVE ANOTHER!' being about alcoholism in the family. |

| Mayday Parade – Champagne's for Celebrating (I'll Have a Martini) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
i think this is about a guy and a girl having a drunken one night stand, or even just fooling around. and they both developed feelings for eachother. they were together for a while, and then she left (either moved or went back to where she came from). "She left her books, her car, her clothes, and a note But all she wrote was, "Tonight I'm leaving on a train." She says she's headed west To make it right for one more night And, well, I don't blame her if she is" - he understands that she has to leave/go back. maybe she ran away from home or left on bad terms, so she feels the need to 'make things right, for one more night'. perhaps when she left, she had a boyfriend and didn't keep in contact with him, but she's maybe going back to be with him again? But he thinks it's just one more sunset And after all, it's her fault If she hasn't caught on yet - he thinks its no big deal, its just another day, and she's just another girl. and its her fault anyway, if she can't see that he's really in love with her. So why'd you have to go? Is there something I could say To make you turn around? 'Cause nights like these I wish I'd said "don't go" - he wonders if she would've stayed if he had set his pride aside, admitted that he loved her, and asked her to stay for him Is there anybody there? Can anybody help to get me out of here? 'Cause you're walking down a road that I can't go - maybe he's either asking if anyone can help him get over her, or more literally if someone can help him get out of that area. perhaps he wants to leave because she did, and everything there is just a constant reminder of her. Try as I might, I just can't handle this. I lost myself inside a drunken kiss. And I, all that I wanted was to walk you home. Save a sad song for the sing-along - self explanatory. they were both drunk, he just wanted to walk her home so he knew she'd be okay, and they ended up kissing. And she sings, "You'll be my tourniquet," As the record on my stereo plays Her favorite song for two whole days And the track stretched out for miles and miles - my favorite part, its perfect. pretty self explanatory. a tourniquet is a wrap used to stop someone from bleeding out. its considered a last resort, because its kind of dangerous to cut off the blood flow to a limb. the limb tissue could 'die' and have to be amputated if the person helping doesn't loosen the tourniquet every now and then so that the tissue can get oxygen from blood being circulated. And what she'd give for one more smile And how she hoped he missed her 'Cause, God, she missed how he would kiss her - also self explanatory, i think. i love this song so much :) |

i'm not sure if anyone posted this already, but incase you were wondering and didn't want to go through every page of interpretations: 'sic transit gloria' is a latin phrase, meaning 'thus passes the glory' so 'sic transit gloria, glory fades' = 'this passes the glory, glory fades. |

| Conor Oberst – Get-Well-Cards Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
All the peacock people left their plumes in a pile - he's talking about proud people, maybe even cocky. i can't really explain the pile of plumes reference, the only thing that comes to mind their 'plumage' being their 'clothes', all piled up. like they have no shame because they're proud of their body and who they are? i'm not sure if that makes sense to anyone else, but i like to think of it that way. They look good to a fault And the Gulf water's warm like a bathtub Full of lavender and epsom salt - i think the song is about his recent trip to mexico, and this is referring to how comfortable it was, just swimming in the gulf of mexico and relaxing on the beach all day, everyday. See a bleach blond boy put his longboard down Help his girl get her sunscreen on - observations of people on the beach, it sounds like he's writing a letter to his lover. I thought about you in your little house Think you're lonely but I could be wrong and . . . - she's obviously not with him, and he's thinking about her being lonely, or possibly being with someone else ("but i could be wrong) I want to be your bootlegger Want to mix you up something strange - wants to bootleg music for her, make her mixtapes, do nice things for her. Braid your hair like a sister - again, its a comforting thing for some people to have their hair braided, its all about him trying to voice his affection towards her since he can't be with her to show her at the moment. Name you like a hurricane - i love that line :) i think of it as him wanting to "name her", understand her. Right there, that's the postman sleeping in the sand He's got a letter to deliver, but I can't stay mad Right there, that's the postman sleeping in the sand He's got a get-well-card to deliver He's going to do it by hand, he's going to do it by hand - everyone's relaxing, including the post man, but conor isn't mad that's he's not delivering the letter right away, probably couldn't blame him for taking a nap on the beach. Now they drive the cars up and down the beach It's ridiculous and everybody knows Hear the Mustangs rev at the four way stop You get ghosted when the light says go - talking about the locals in the area, 'revving' the engines and driving expensive cars, flaunting their money and superiority. But in a town like this, in the chequered flag dawn It's so empty you could make somebody dream - tranquil, relaxing, or just a hollow town. So maybe it's you, in your four-post bed Sound asleep but still grinding your teeth and . . . - he's thinking about her. (durh). I want to be your happiness I want to be your common sense pain - wants to be everything for her, the good and maybe even the bad? Wrap your head in a picket fence Rebuild after the hurricane - wants to help her recover from things and cope with hardships. i love the new album. conor's old stuff was amazing as well, but this album is so much more uplifting. it makes me crave summer and beach days, rather than his other songs, which just make me crave company and alcohol. hahah |

|
black dress, with the tights underneath, - the girl i've got the breath of the last cigarette on my teeth. - the guy and she's an actress, but she ain't got no need. she's got money from parents in a trust fund back east. - rich girl, trying to make herself fit into the scene, acting like she's underpriveleged like the 'starving artists', when really she's got a fat trust fund waiting for her. tounges, always pressed to your cheeks. - holding back on what she wants to say, she's not being herself while my tounge is on the inside of some other girl's teeth. - he's a playerrr, hahah. he's saying he doesn't care what she has to say, or even who she's with tell your boyfriend, if he says he's got beef, that i'm a vegetarian, and i ain't fucking scared of him. - awesome. hahahah she wants to touch me, woah. she wants to love me, me. she'll never leave me woah, wo wo wooah. - all the bullshit she's feeding him, she just wants him cause he's a musician. don't trust a ho. never trust a ho. won't trust a ho. cause the ho won't trust me. - they can't trust eachother, cause she's a hoe and well, he's a musician, and they're notorious for being kind of slutty as well. she wants to touch me wahoo. she wants to love me wahoo. she'll never leave me wahoo, wahoo hoo hoo. don't trust a ho. never trust a ho. won't trust a ho. cause the ho won't trust me. x's on the back of your hands, washed them in the bathroom to drink like the bands, - at shows in small local venues, they DO in fact draw x's on the back of minor's hands. so yes, she is underage, and she's scrubbing at her hands so she can be 'cool' and drink with the band. cause she's a groupie and the set list, you stole off the stage, has red and purple lipstick all over the page. - she's such a fan girl that she stole the set list (list of songs that the band is going to play, for those of you who don't know) and kissed it alll over with her super scene lipstick. bruises cover your arms, - not sure about this. when i went to a big show, i had bruises and actual finger and hand shaped bruises on my shoulder. maybe its from that? or maybe that her boyfriend is aggresive and abusive? shaking in the fingers with the bottle in your palm, - bottle of pills, or bottle of booze. same concept. i'm guessing its booze because of the lines below and the best is, no one knows who you are. just another girl alone at the bar. - yea. shush girl, shut your lips, do the helen keller and talk with your hips. - i love that line! haha. helen keller was deaf and blind, used her body (mainly hands) to communicate, loved music, etc. i said shush girl, shut your lips. do the helen keller and talk with your hips. i said shush girl, shut your lips. do the helen keller and talk with your hips. yep! thats my view of the song :) |

yea, unbel13vabulll is right. "She's shaking looking like she took it the hardest A spin artist, she brought her face up laughing That's when the prosecutor realized what happened All that speaking her mind testifying and crying" the video is awesome, adds a lot to the song. it talks about the cops getting an anonymous call (ends up being her calling in) saying that her husband was involved in two murders. they found the gun and coke in their house, and pinned it on him automatically. by the end i was like "oh shit! she set him up!" i don't like a lot of wrap, but i like common a lot. this is a good song, i agree that the sample kinda overpowers common in it though. |

| Dear and the Headlights – Telemarket Mishap Lyrics | 16 years ago |

i agree with the 'broken family' theory You have your own life I know, but show up you should Im disappointed, my vision blurs alone on the curb - talking to his father, saying he knows he has his own life, but he's still disappointed that he doesn't make an effort to see him more often Eight weeks since and its still the same Something just came up, Im so sorry -hasn't seen his father in eight weeks, because he keeps making excuses about things 'coming up', his apologies mean nothing. And maybe Ive got needs that you cant cure But Im waiting by the phone until Im sure -the mother talking to the ex, saying maybe its her fault because she wasn't enough for him, but shae still waits for him to call and ask if he can come home. Love like statistics, Ive got a head full of hell alone in my thoughts Kill the subject; refine the joke, which ever prompts response In the moments you laugh its still not enough You miss me, you cant mean that -the mother or son speaking, saying they try o explain it simply when people ask why the parents aren't together And maybe youve got needs that I cant cure We sleep in separate houses -the mother again A Guarded head shapes the face and heart So loss aint bad Im trading processing for sleep So it dont seem sad that Im losing you -again, the son or mother, saying that they've built up an immunity to feeling hurt when they lose someone, all because of the father. Blotch the face, blood vessels Broken heart and canvas skin Write it all out you wont ever quite describe it -he tries to write it in a song, but he can't ever 'quite describe' the feeling of unimportance. breaks his heart that his father gave up his family, possibly for another woman. Loaned to father for weekends and given back without the interest -his father has weekend visits, but brings him back to his mum, with no problem. Trivialize memories, dumb it down to make it fit Syllables, grammatical, read and rewrite for the reader -again, trying to describe what its like to explain the divorce to others All the bitter nights in my room alone They wont know all my secret problems -the mother is bitter, but tries to hide her problems so people don't see she's falling apart? Or the love that overcame us both -either the love between the mother and father, or the father and another woman, that drove them to divorce? An untold twenty-two year story -they've been having marriage problems for the length of their son's life, maybe they tried to keep it together for him? So its one tale and then another, I was saying earlier -keep making excuses and stories, trying to justify the divorce without making it seem as bad as it is. A Guarded head shapes the face and heart So loss aint bad Im trading processing for sleep So it dont seem sad that Im losing you When are you coming home -i picture the son saying this to his father, he just wants things to be okay again. thats what i get from it anyway. this song is absolutely beautiful. |

i realize this post is super old, but i decided to answer it incase other people are confused. blue and yellow are complimentary colors, so they 'rely on eachother'. |

| Lydia – Sleep Well Lyrics | 16 years ago |

what do you mean 'chemically' taking his love? its obviously 'faking'. it makes much more since, its logical. he can't believe anything she's saying, because she's way too good at 'faking'. 'love is too much'= he can't handle the emotional stress and pain. yes, she did take a lot from him. but i've seen them live, and you can clearly hear that its 'faking', he emphasizes the word. |

| Jack's Mannequin – Bruised Lyrics | 16 years ago |

i believe the 'aisle' he's refering to is the airplane isle, not a chuch isle. who wears chuck's to their wedding? :P and the babies he's talking about, are babies on the plane. everytime i'm on a plane, there's at least one baby wailing a majority of the flight. i think its about him moving, and being really upset that he has to leave his girl, and every perfect moment and memory just torments him that much more. she counts the minutes that he isn't there, thinking about how long he's been gone, where as he thinks about it in time that it'll be til he's home. he's hurt (bruised) and he tells the pilot 'don't fly fast, can you make it last, this plane is all i've got, so keep it steady now'. i've been through it. its like every half hour on the plane is really 500 miles further from the person you love and the place you call home. "All I hear is what's playing through the in-flight radio Now every word of every song I ever heard that made me want to stay Is what's playing through the in-flight radio." maybe he's constantly flying home to see her? he just obsesses and focuses on when he can go home, even just for vacation, because he'll take what he can get. "So read your books, but stay out late some nights (some nights) And don't think that you can't stop by the bar" he understand she misses him, but he doesn't want her moping around, he tells her to still go out and have fun, going to the bar and enjoying herself won't upset him, its what he wants for her. i'm hoping that all made sense? haha |

| Miley Cyrus – Party in the U.S.A. Lyrics | 16 years ago |

i don't like any of her other music, and to be honest, her existance annoys me. hate how she tries dressing like she's older, and talking about going to the club? she's not even old enough to get in, i don't care how famous you are. hahaha but this song is alright. the meaning is obvious. |

| Right Away, Great Captain! – What a Pity Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
this is what i'm hearing: What a pity that it is The way to come back home I tried to make a point To sell the last of what I own Well I can feel your breeze Begin to choke my living soul But I promise that its worth it What a pity that it is *To write you in a song* I tried to make the words become *the* kingdom to your soul No matter how I try, its just a lyric, nothing more And it cant be worth it What a pity that it is, To know that your alone *I tried to clean your place up, make it feel like you were home No matter how i try, its still a house on a sandy road* And I'm not really worth it, No, Im never really worth it And its not really worth it maybe its about how he lost his wife, and even after she's gone, he tries to act like everything is okay, but he can't even take comfort in his home, simply because she's not there. and he tries to write about how he feels about her in a song, but there's no way of summing it up (whether its love, hate, disgust, longing, etc). so he thinks its not even worth the effort, just like he wasn't worth the effort to her? |

| The Used – Smother Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
it goes along with the "hold me too tight" line. i thought it was pretty self-explainatory, but its hard to explain. usually people don't like being smothered and clung to, but he can't get close enough to this girl, and he doesn't want her to ever let him go. |

| This Providence – Walking On Water Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
sorry keziah, but it is about God. This Providence is a Christian band. he's talking about how even when everyone else was gone, and he was going through the worst parts of his life, God was with him through it all. And knowing that God still had faith in him, just made his faith in God that much stronger. i'm not christian, at all. but they are, and that's what the song is about. |
