at first i thought the song was about a couple struggling to make it through the hard times and eventually making it, but now im starting to have mixed thoughts. It could be about one of them dying and going through the pain, but the pain wont last 4ever like the coldnov rain. You know if Axl wrote the song after the poem then it must kinda go along w/it.(WHICH WOULD ALSO MATCH THE VIDEO). This is probably what everone else has written about the song, but U know I must add my remarks. To me the song means he was in a bad spot in his life when he met this girl who turned things around. She was good to him at first, then she got him where she wanted him, started taking him for granted, and playing with his mind getting a kick out of it. He tries to forget about her, but can't get up enough nerve to leave her. He lets her do this stuff to him probably because she is beautiful and good in bed which makes it that much harder to resist her. |
