i think she's trying to point out the fact that people these days are so incorporated, everything is just robotic and automatic to them. 'people are just people they shouldn't make you nervous' leads to the fact that everything we deal with in life is fake and when we come across other human beings in everyday life it terrifies us, we just freeze up. the part about 'you think the world is ending' is probably because this person hasn't lived their life yet: 'your children have groan and you never made your wife moan', nobody ever stops to smell the flowers, we're just as energized as the gallons of coffee we drink, and we're as wired as the internet we're addicted to, so everyone should just take off their shoes and touch down with earth again. we're all 'corporate' in the way that we all plug ourselves into whatever electric thing we're enslaved to in life, causing us all to be boring drones and when that happens, everything and everyone is so fake it all looks the same: 'everyones features have somehow started blending'. Then, you get the visit from this ghost who's telling you to live a little, get crazy, and go spontaneous, and not to be afraid of people, 'people are just like you', and what their corporate minds may think. you just need to let yourself go and 'cut your own hair cause that can be so funny'.
