God I'm such a sap. This song makes me really sad... Basically, it's Remus (and Dora) singing a lullaby to Teddy, making promises they can't keep. They promise to be back when the battle's done, but ... I particularly love the lines: "If many years from now you hear this song Know I'm next to you, know I'm never gone, oh boy" |

| Everyone already covered the story, but I just wanted to add one thing. Author Nick Hornby wrote the lyrics for this album, and Claire's Ninth is based on a short story he wrote a long time ago that he never published. Not exactly relevant, but I just thought I'd add that little tidbit. | |

I was little when this song first came out but I was loved it even then... It's such a great song. And, as everyone already said, this song has so much meaning in the lyrics. I love how it breaks away from the norm. ((As already mentioned, the song is called "Good Riddance.")) |
