I think its the typical song about being in love but he doesn't care. (GREAT SONG HOWEVER) First verse, she is saying she needs his reasurence that the relationship won't end. But he's counting the days to maybe the relationship ending? Or something that would make it end like him moving away or something, Chorus is pretty self explanatory. Aimed towards him, and the way he acts. Like sarcasim. Second verse. He's pulling away, maybe cause he wants to break up or is moving away or something, and all she wants is him to hold her. She is naive and wonders why she still cares about her when he doesnt (or appears not to) care about her. 3rd verse. About him saying he will change, or that he sees it can works, basically wants another chance on something he thought was unlikly to work. But she is saying she wish's she didnt give him all the "power." Now shes like talking to herself, and its pretty self explanotory, saying before him she thinks she was happy. |

Wow. Everytime I hear this song it makes me thing of my ex, who keeps coming back into my life, I just ripped up his shirt actually. :) She is just using him yes, however I think there relationship started off meaniful etc but for whatever reason it HAD to end, thats why he says "I know we've been riding a mistake, but its hard to erase the feelings I've drawn." So its like she had managed to get over it, but he can't, but she just keeps coming back and using him. And the bits about lies etc, she is telling him loads of stuff, probably that makes him come back thinking she wants to start things up but shes just using him. Prehaps they didnt have to break up but she did dump him. The bit about the rescue team, is like, his friends and people won't help him with her anymore, because they are sick of him running back to her and having to deal with her. The bit (one of my fave bits) which says, "So I'll waste these nights for a while, But I'll be holding onto you, forever." Is like, he will get on with life, go out partying, and getting other girls but he will always wait for her and take her back. The verse that starts, "I've been sleeping with the sunrise watching hours pass away" I imagine him laying in bed, watching out the windows with his phone next to him waiting for her to call. Or sleeping until the evening cause he cant bear to wake up. The bit about, I don't wanna fall with u. Is something to do with her, possibly shes into something bad n he dont want to get involved and end up getting hurt like she does or into trouble. I think in the final verse though, hes sick of it all and decides that he will go back once more but then hurt her by leaving her. GO HIM!! :) |
