I started listening to Jennings after listening to Streetlight Manifesto's cover of Birds Flying Away (as I'm sure many, many other people did) and he instantly piqued my interest. This song definitely solidified him as one of my new favorite artists. |

featured in rock band... the solo is enhanced by the driving dangerously close to a cliff while the band plays on the roof! |

i don't really see suicide here. the romeo and juliet reference doesn't nesescarilly mean suicide. i think its about accepting death. 'came the last night of sadness', she is dying a slow and painful death (suicides tend to be short, painless and somewhat 'happier' because they are ending something they don't want) |

Sounds like a guy trying to muster up the confidence to JUST TELL HER YOU LIKE HER.
"'Oh, won't you dance with me a little bit?',
Oh, you don't notice; I guess the music's too loud."
Is him trying to either face-down rejection or pretending to have a conversation with her. |

Seems like BJ getting into the heads of some of the bratty kids that think their life is meaningless and boring. Then, he thrusts them into a crappier 'city/slums' scene and makes it obvious that they were better off where they were. |

That last line.. I mean, it's PERFECT.
"Forgetting you but not the time."
Thats IT. It just ends. Beautiful. Poetic even. |

Grohl is a HUGE Zeplin fan. He [obviously] purposely drags out the intro and forgets words, simply to prove to everyone else that you MUST NEVER COVER THIS SONG. You will only ruin it and embarrass yourself and band. The guitar part singing was purely for comic releif... I love David Grohl. |

| 3 Doors Down – Be Like That Lyrics

The first section, I believe depicts the humble but striving person in all of us, who has a great life but doesn't realize it and wants much more.
The second, tells of a woman, probably homeless, who just wants the basic necessities, the 'Big Dream', the American Dream.
In contrast, the man wants much more then he needs and this woman just wants happiness; isn't that all we do need? |

RyknowSpag, people care. Noone deserves to lose a friend, especially in those conditions. This song has a very deep meaning for you, and that's what this site is for: what you think and feel about music. |

Yeah, 'The White Pill' is probably the writer's escape or sort of 'Fortress of Solitude' from his, apperently crappy, relationship. Notice in the video that he only feels pain when those two creepy twins hit him with the bats, even though he practically suicided the entire video. He tries his best not to feel anything but only gets hurt when shes there. At the end, they are walking together (still in his 'meat suit' HAHA), showing that even though he's hurt, he loves her. |

I think most people liked the GoldFinger cover because it made the ol' soft version several times 'rock-ier'. People tend to like that, pluz, it makes one hell of a song to dance to, bang your head to, or sing to the shower...I'm sure I'm not the only one who does that...Am I? |

| The Goo Goo Dolls – Better Days Lyrics

Notice how Goo Goo Dolls's song meanings actually mean... anything? Compared to Green Day comments, you can only assume that Goo Goo Dolls fans are WAY more mature. [In general] responses to Green Day are just [probably punk] teenagers telling everyone that Green Day 'rox their sox'... Not that I'm complaining [cuz' Green Day rox my sox], but it nicer to learn something about a song. "And the one poor child who saved this world
And there's ten million more who probably could
If we all just stopped and said a prayer for them" AND "
Cause tonight's the night the world begins again". A very great song.
Anyway, about the song: it is AMAZING! I think it means the most to me because the first time I heard it was that Christmas concert at Madison Square Garden on '06; really sentimental to me. To me, this song is about what the world SHOULD be compared to what IT IS, and what we all want it to be: " |

I've never heard this song until I needed a song for a school project. I needed something that ended the day "with the fat promise of a new one to come." -to quote directly from the book. And I tell you, it fulfills its purpose. |
