thats what i love about deep song lyrics... they're always so versitile. you can interpret this to be about someone moving towards the light, and going to heaven. or this can be about seizing the moment and living life to the fullest. letting your guard down and not waiting for anything to pass you by. its sort of like a personality test... do you see life quicker than you see death, or vice versa? |

AH, so much emotion in these songs. isn't it ironic how the saddening and heartbreaking songs are the most beautiful. losing a loved one, especially a lover, is one of the hardest things to experience. losing your first love is definitely a hard lesson to be learned. everyone thinks they'll be with their first love forever...we all think we're the ones who are invincible...until you put your all into it, and the rug is ripped out underneath you. "And the plaster dented from your fist in the hall where you had your first kiss reminds you that the memories will fade." the lines that show immense pain and anguish are always lyrically stunning. |

I interpreted it as... her not wanting to do it anymore, and feeling an immense amount of guilt...but she can't stop no matter how much she knows her bf loves her. like rocknrollrebel said, it's an addiction and she's hooked. bad situations always call for a good song :) |

ah gives me chills. definitely a favorite of mine. such a beautiful song. i agree with squeakyfingers, it compliments the voices quite nicely. as for the meaning of it: i'm not sure what 'setting fire to the third bar' really means. but i do believe it has to do with 2 distant lovers who long to be with each other. and they dream; and they wait until they can be together again. but thats just me :) |

"if you ever feel loved or needed remember that you're one of the lucky ones" gorgeous. i say its about trust in the relationship as well. it takes a great deal of understanding and compassion to talk about a complicated issue in a relationship and come to a conclusion. i think this song is portraying a bit of it. because honestly, there are no perfect endings. & mike maynard had a point: all music is emotional. this is. so is rap. it's sad to say, but 'fucking bitches & hoes' is expressing some feeling in a diminutive way. |

| first off, i adore this song, and have since their new album came out. but i think i might be looking at a more vague picture. i interpreted it to be a marriage or engagement (before reading the lyrics & just listening to the song). the part "I swoon upon my knees come crashing, Will you bury me?" i thought he said will you marry me LOL but it still KIND OF makes sense when he's like "Pray for rain, lose your name" Rain on a wedding day is good luck, and you lose your last name when you marry. i dont know, just a silly observation lol still a great and soothing song. | |

first off this song is beautiful; gives me goosebumps. so much emotion. ah wonderful. but this is my perception of the lyrics: he's basically in disbelief in finding such a wonderful creature, that he feels safe, and is in disbelief. its a new love, so they stay up all night talking. (something i love about this song is that its not about SEX for once, they stay up talking and getting to know each other). Their first kiss was powerful; you can tell by the lines before it. & it shows what codeazul said previously-- connection & devotion. & yeah, the 'make it snow' part is what he performed live.. and Ryan plays the violin to the end. still amazing, all in all. |
