| Rich Boy – Throw Some D's Lyrics | 18 years ago |

So this song is pretty self-explanatory... Rich boy got rich from rapping, he sells crack and acts all tough so he thought, damn i should buy a cadillac with crocodile skin seats and thousand dollar rims then everyone will be afraid of me... and upgrading your pimp status means upgrading your hoes. Hit the block on some new 10 thousand dollar wheels Kinda strange how i feel, Toucha gator on my wheel Got peanut butter ice cream Petter pan seats just gotta Fresh cut Now we looking for them freaks Take her back yella bitch Make her drop them draws Imma show you how to ball Middle finger to the law so fuck them Niggas tell em' what they wanna do? Hating on a player 'cause my 'lac skated 22's. this part pretty much sums up the song i thought this website was for songs with deep meanings |

did anyone notice that the guitar intro is SO "I Came As A Rat" with the octave notes picked together instead of individually, and the build-ups are SO just a thrashy version of the custom concern build-up (its not much of one, but its the part with the violins accompanying the guitar after the little slidey guitar doodad) WHAT A RIPOFF if i wanted to hear bits of custom concern and i came as a rat stuck together... well i dont. isaac should consider letting johnny marr put some more influence into the music instead of being a tool. it wouldnt be the same modest mouse but it would beat the hell out of the chord recycling i see happening. well after a few listens i stopped giving a crap and now its a heartwarming song :) |

| Modest Mouse – Mice Eat Cheese Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i think what people missed is the comparison between the two ideas. i think he means that on all levels of life there "are those with loaded guns, and those who dig" (something along the lines of what clint eastwood said). He first introduces the idea of human social interaction/interpersonal needs, how brock doesnt want to go home to the uneasiness of the "cat" coming around. he then makes the transfer by simplifying the situation to cat and mouse; even though mice do not communicate in the same way humans do, they also have an intuitive uneasiness about the cat. also, i always thought of the initial lines as a dialogue between beer store guy and brock, something like that. did anyone else think so? |

when in life, when the bad one brags on, looking out, but im doing the best i can... it doesnt make too much sense but maybe someone could toy with it and listen to the song and get back to correcting these lyrics |

i think it says, now this is just what i hear: i get a job at the devil(er) office, a sense of self(?) but i am so successful; why in life must the bad ones brag, |
