This song is definitely crazy...It was performed as a freestyle on Hot 97 in NY, and then later recorded as a studio track. In the beginning, Jay-Z is literally talking to summer as if it were a girl about their relationship, meaning he's talking about how he's put hot shit down for like 10 years straight. I don't know who Un or Lance are, so I kinda wanna find that out. The part where he says "I know they weird, some of them queer" is a subliminal towards Cam (because he always used to wear pink or purple and some people called him gay), and the drunk uncle metaphor is for how Cam used to be in the Rocafella family, which Jay uses to diss him and say he's got love for him at the same time...damn! Then from there to the end is a subliminal at The Game, who was supposedly saying "Fuck Jay-Z" in overseas concerts; he says "try and play like he Suge", which obviously points toward it being a west coast rapper. Young Niggaz that (blast for me/blasphemy), no religion.....DAMN! |

| Many Wu-Tang references are either to the 5% Nation teachings of Islam, pop culture at that time, or to (obviously) Martial Arts flicks. Any seemingly random numbers are probly from the Supreme Mathematics and any seemingly random letters are probly from the Supreme Alphabet. Any unknown names are most likely an alias of that Wu-member. If you need more help, use wubible.com it is really good. Oh and I know that Nimrod was a Norse God. That's it. Word is Bond. Wu-Tang slang. Choppin headz | |

Ok like some people have said this song doesn't have one unified meaing, it's mainly stream of conciousness style rap. And many of the weird sounding lines are either 5% Nation or NY Slang. It all makes sense if you get the references. Also, almost any number you see is in reference to the Supreme Mathematics taught in 5% and random letters are from the Supreme Alphabet. Any of the names you see that aren't someone easily recognizable are probably an alias for that particular Wu-Member. Ghostrider, Six Pack, Streetcar Named Desire, Guns of Navarrone - All movie references Sing-Sing - name of a prison Wooden Soldiers / C-Cipher Punks (Spells out cops in 5% speech) - Cops Lampin - Chillin Word is Bond. Peace. |
