This is song is okay but I still think shes really screwed up right now. All these stars drink and party so hard... shes a mom of 2 young boys and she aint acting like a good mom (a.k.a sober)! All the petty stuff she is referencing in this song is not why people judge her. Who cares about missing underwear or beating some guy's care with an umbrella? All stars go a little berserk on the pararazzi. People judge her right now because shes really screwing up her family and shes clearly abusing alcohol. |

| I love this song.... on a less literal level, i knew a lot of people who really lost them selves when I went through high school. And you hear about things that happened and you think "What? Seriously? How could he/she?" and its just so sad.... | |

Well Anna Nicole Smith's tragedy happened a long time after this song was written. But interprety however you want... The miscarriage idea seems really appropriate now that I read it. The first time I heard this song I thought it was about a daughter who had been so angry and fustrated with the life her mother lived that she got wrapped up in the wrong crowd and committed suicide or overdosed. |

I always thought this was about a woman who wanted more from the guy she was with. "harlequin" meaning Harlequin romance novels... she's hoping that her "true love" is hovering somewhere nearby but she so scared that it's not true (a.k.a the bad dreams). He is "running" wishing he could "fly", or in other words, be the man she wants him to be (one of those amazing, unrealistic men from those harlequin romance novels. But in the end he knows hes not the man for her, and he is just keeping her to keep himself happy ("empty place inside", "helping himself to her bad dreams") The chorus is describing how they are together, but so alone, and seem to be diving themselves into 3 different people: one who is in love, one who is isn't, one who needs to get away. The comments on love are supposed to be an ironic twist on the fact that love isn't lying to them, its simply falling apart with the woman who should be leaving in the first place. Maybe I'm reading too much into it? |

My favourite is: Make it easy Easy Easy We could make this easy Easy love Easy We could make this easy Make this easy So true.... for everything. Relationships, frienships, the world.... why can't we make it easy? Why do we need to complicate everything? I think thats what this song about.... people make their lives so difficult by complicating everything. Shes saying its time to try to make it easier and enjoy life (a.k.a bounce off clouds!) |

Does anyone know what the language the other male is singing in? I'm curious... it sounds Hindu of some sort. And this song is amazing to study to as a university student. Definetely gives you some hope that you will do okay! |

| R.E.M. – Losing My Religion Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is about him losing himself to the spotlight and fame. He's totally lost confidence in himself and his music, and he feels like he's looking at himself and he doesn't recognize himself anymore. He feels that the man he was before was "just a dream" | |
| Sarah McLachlan – Silence (Delirium cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I love this song... I personally think its sexual. For me though, it could be for anything: someone who is stressed and needs release, etc. But I HATE all these remixes of it. It took me about half an hour to find the original song and I'm still not even sure if I have the right one. I would love to hear Sarah McLachlan sing this acappella... no techno, no crazy weird beats. |

| Tori Amos – '97 Bonnie and Clyde (Eminem cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |

ProudestMonkey1 is right on this one... Tori said something about the fact that she was horrified that young kids and teenagers were singing along and rocking out to a song that was so blatantly horrible. So she re-did it in order to give it some perspective... that the subject matter Eminem is rapping about is not something kids should be light-heartedly singing along to. I think that applies to other rappers too, not just Eminem. I think Eminem's response to Tori's version of the song was that he was not trying to promote violence and that he agreed that kids should have perspective before listening to his music. Something along those lines, but don't quote me on that. |

| I know their mom, so hearing her talking to them at the beginning of the song is cute and reminds me of her... such a nice song. | |
